Any figure can stand alone because they can and will do anything they want with them, I doubt they've ever been worried about that in FGO.
They're not anthropologists, they just see a connection and think it's cool, so they do it.

I don't know why but when I hear Chaos = Dyson sphere I get really irk
Like I'm fine with the whole "Greek gods being mechas" but for some reason Chaos really just makes me angry. I think it's because it's trying to make a dyson sphere, a sci-fi concept, into something related to myth and magic. Which is weird because I kinda like the whole magic science fusion fate is going for.
But mechas are also sci-fi.
Yeah that's why it's so weird because I'm fine with greek = mechas. I think Chaos just cross a subconscious line where I think "wow that's stupid"
I feel like that Greek deities being mecha ships with different functions already crossed that line for some. Or the stuff with Sefar.
Yeah, but mechas are an established part of Greek mythology since Talos, Deadalus' mercury men, Alcinous' mecha dogs and the Colchis Bulls.
That doesn't mean that there isn't a jump people familiar with Greek myths have to make from a few mechanical stuff to oh the gods were mecha but then they weren't because of a space invader. Like I won't really downplay that with just there were mecha stuff as well in old stories.
Dyson Sphere is a bit too out there for me too, tbh

A Dyson Sphere is a hypothetic space megastructure built around a sun to collect energy from that star. If I remember correctly, there are some ideas about a Dyson sphere used as a propulsive system.
