Are those VA references or just random pairings by the artist? Some seems to make sense (like Nitocris with Ozzy or Cu with Scathach) and some are characters that haven't even interacted with each other (Raikou and Moriarty).

Arjuna/Abigail and David/Bradamante are the only pairs that are really confusing me. All the others have a somewhat recognizable pattern.
That pairing might be because they're both illustrated by Raita?
But yeah a lot the other ones seem pretty random to me.

I guess? None of those pairings make any particular sense and anime characters without their trademark outfits or hairdos are pretty much indistinguishable unless they're egregiously tall/short/fat/thin.

With CCC and the end of case files It feels like nasu and co were going in the direction of gods being these uber higher dimensional beings most mortals cannot see or whatever
But then FGO and such happened and most gods or even beasts are just plainly visible, This is not a bad thing mind you as the former angle isnt very fun and I doubt they could have pulled it off well.
