Once and always and nevermore.
So, the existence of mithril has very few explanations.
Tolkien was the first one to spread this Magecraft secret into the public eye, which makes him connected to the world of Magecraft, or perhaps he literally invented mithril himself.
The Doylist explanation is obvious, but the Watsonian explanation must be wild.

The plot of Tsukihime is just that Simpsons Halloween episode where Bart has an evil semiferal twin brother he didn't know about who's been living in the attic.
Clearly we need a route where SHIKI is reintegrated into society while Shiki gets locked up for his crimes.
The one with the fish heads? Funny, in the average household in China, it's quite common to eat not only fish heads but also fish skin. Ditto with chicken feet and chicken heads (my aunt who recently came to the US got culture shock where she could only buy headless chickens; not as bad as my college economics professor from Italy, though, using nuts sold without shells as "proof" of American laziness).
Isn't bagged milk just the milk version of Capri Sun? Does being in a bag change the taste or something?
Chicken feet are common enough in China to be called phoenix claws, to say nothing of a snake and cat bowl called a dragon and tiger bowl. Good point about the raw fish heads, though, given that pretty much no meat is eaten raw in China... Yes, for all those pescatarians, fish counts as "meat" in this context, given that it's a carcass.
I don't dream about Fate/ that much, but tonight was the night. It was a bizarro version of FSF. It was taking place somewhere Tweed Heads-esque. It was fun. It was exciting. Kayneth was there. He had a mysterious servant whose NP somehow involved the use of a detached-from-the-house garage.
And then my apartment's loudspeaker screamed out "THIS IS YOUR MONTHLY FIRE ALARM TEST, NO NEED TO REACT" and that was the end of that
But now I do want to see a servant with an absolutely massive, completely unlabelled, multistorey car park as their NP. Maybe somebody involved with mazes and/or treasure? That'd be funny.
That's probably Rider Henry Ford
