Nah, it was Touko again. She compared it to Spirit Tomb Albion.

Clearly the Bermuda Triangle is from a giant kraken trying to swim to the inner sea, then.

Seriously though it probably is a place where inner sea arcane stuff "leaks out" or whatever the deeper you go, like in Albion.

I thought textures weren't introduced till Apocrypha, but Rani sort of just namedrops them in CCC.

Although I'm not sure how textures would work in the Moon Cell.

We know that they were made up for Tsuki R so it’s not impossible that Nasu was hinting at the lore back then

Andersen in CCC talking about the gulf between what writers want to write and what they have to write is particularly amusing to think about from Nasu's perspective.

    These two things are interlinked.

Its a little more narratively contrived than by chance.
Murder was losing its luster for Ryuunosuke so the prodigal son decides to return to the home of his first murder victim, his sister. In the storehouse where he buried her body he finds the spellbook heralding from HGW2 (the implication here is that his ancestor participated in that Grail War). Incorporating the rituals in his murder makes the killings feel interesting again, so he continues doing it, which is how he ends up summoning Gilles.

The thing is I don't think Ryu and Gilles really have anything to contribute to what Zero is like, saying or doing.

I fully expect it to be where R'lyeh is, and that's why it's weird.

It does bemuse me that despite his association with sea creatures, to my knowledge Lovecraft never touched the Bermuda Triangle in any of his stories.

iirc HP Lovecraft died prior to the concept of the Bermuda Triangle being a thing. Lovecraft died in the 30s and the Triangle became a thing in the 50s.

Huh, I did not realise that Bermuda was that recent of a phenomenon.
