If you mean in RN it was toned down. If you mean in Jack's patch he initially tied it in with the H-scene on/off switch but later made a separate switch for it because Mike got mad.

I'm all in for customizability, but that options menu must be pretty intimidating to some.

Yes, and it caused some rather interesting contradictory statements within the VN.

It really depends on what switches you have on.

You could just download Koto's Vanilla patch and avoid having to wonder though.

Depends, if "accurate" means "exactly the same as the untranslated version of the game it's meant to patch except it's in English" then less, if it means "accurate translation" than maybe a tiny bit more because it's MM's script in both cases but we fixed some mistranslations.

Nobody is forcing you to delete the original FSN game. Just keep that and have your Realta Nua copy be Realta Nua.
