No, it's that there are different versions of the Yakub lore, some of which rely more heavily on the alien angle than others. Sometimes, the lore even changes in the middle for some of the off-shoot cults like the Nuwabian Nation of Moors or whatever they're called now.
It's a lot of that 70s and 80s based conflation of gods and aliens that pops up here and there.

A stray thought occurred to me, but I wonder if the decision by Nasu to depict the Knights of the Round Table in Fate as having specific Seats that limit the number of members was inspired by the real life Order of the Garter which never has more than 24 living "Companion Knights" serving the Monarch in reference to the original 25 founders.

I mean, you can't really extend a circular table. And if Mash's shield is anything to go by, it's not even that big.
But you can enlarge the circumference by adding layers. It can make more rooms for other Knights too.
