well I didn't want to brag but
You know, I just realised how odd it is that Galahad of all people got the Round Table NP.
Because, after all, he is like a kid who comes up to a board meeting, goes "hi I'm the illegitimate son of the VP, gimme that fancy chair", attended that one meeting he crashed, proceeded to never attend any other, and in fact never worked with any of the employees again but kept sending progress update starting with "as per my last email".
He pretty much is the one that embodies the least the group ideal of the Round Table.
Petri's arbitrary limit
I mean, I can see the logic since aside from Arthur or Guinevere, Galahad has the most direct meaningful connection to the Table thanks to the Siege Perilous. Add onto the fact that Fate hypes him up as the one who would have led the next generation of Round Table Knights had the Grail Quest not occurred, it's not the biggest stretch that TM has ever made IMO.

Since we're on the topic, it does make me wonder how an alternate timeline would look like where the spirit within Mash was written to be Guinevere rather than Galahad.

Honestly I'd see Helen more than Guin. She did launch a thousand ships and cause one of the biggest gathering of heroes of her time.
Petri's arbitrary limit
Honestly I just meant more as someone with a strong connection to the Round Table specifically.
Although given the way that Guin is described, it just sounds like we'd end up with Mash2 instead of the interesting contrast and foil that Galahad can potentially serve...if only he were in more scenes.

Helen Mash would be bad because it would probably mean more Paris screentime.
Galahad is a big deal because he is the only one who found an actual grail and ascended to heaven for a series that revolved around holy grail war so much.
That's why he is all that. Rather than any specific legend attributing him to recive the round table itself
As usual, you didn't understand what I was getting at: why does he have a Power Of Friendship (TM) NP when his entire legend is him buggering off to do his own thing?
A Ruler Galahad who comes packaged with a free Grail would have made perfect sense.
But anyways, the Grails aren't the Grail and that's been clear since the start. So him having the real McCoy instead of a magical reactor would have been far more interesting to see what the real one does. And how it fits in the whole Servant system too.
Petri's arbitrary limit
It's not like he's using it to summon allies or anything though. His NP is all about his own unwavering mentality, which fits very well with him being the one to find the grail and ascend.
His shield being the round table because he has the special seat is just an addition necessary for the plot of FGO to work. They need that catalyst to gather heroes.
