It's sort of interesting to me that every Tsukihime heroine has some sort of death drive. Arc is just gonna go into eternal sleep after Roa, Ciel is suicidal and Akiha wants to be killed by Shiki or Kohaku. Hisui seeks death of her own ego/self, Kohaku has no plans to live after killing Akiha and Satsuki wanders the streets at night seeking death as an escape from everyday life.

and the main villains (near side at least) are vampires immortal beings. Especially for like Classic Tsuki someone like Nero or Roa who want to persevere their self for as a long as it takes

Apropos of nothing, I have just discovered that FGO artist Chuuou Higashiguchi who drew Saint George, Tepeu and some of the other Dinos has been doing the illustrations for the new republishes of H.P Lovecraft that have been coming out recently. (Did we ever learn who drew the Randolph Carter NPC in Salem?). Although rather than Fate, I guess his work on Saya no Uta was probably the stronger factor in why he was chosen.

I remember the Richard Stanley film had a reason for making it purple that was something to do with light spectrum making it look off, but I don't remember the exact details.

Emanation does rather strike a chord with me. And while we're on the subject, wanna say that though I only had occasion to translate it in Kazura's profile, I tend to render 主神 as Thearch. Or rather, I'd like to.

Oh, but the hanzi for what was translated into "Archon" for Genshin was 魔神, not 主神. I do agree that in general, localizers should be much more willing to coin new words for fantasy terminology in Asian works (though whether or not you use graeco-latin or english roots should be more down to the context of the story). That is, after all, what the original authors are doing. It is bizarre to just translate it character by character.
