    Mixed them up. My bad.

Also, with regard to the link shared, was the Holy Maiden Justeaze the original human that the Justeaze of the Grail Wars was a clone of?

She was a model that strayed from what the magi had intended, created completely by accident, but her abilities were equal to or above those of their master.
The magi should have been elated about Justeaze, but they couldn't be happy. After all, she was a mutation that was born regardless of their own techniques or skills.
Even if that specimen was to reproduce the third magic, that conclusion would be harder for them to bear than 900 years of failure.

The magi deperately attempted to create a homunculus that excelled Justeaze by their own techniques.
The artificial intelligence created to act as the castle's central management - the golem Jubstacheit - was the pinnacle of their craft, and became the father of all homunculi created at Einzbern.

Justeaze succeeded at proving the third magic.
However, it was not cost-effective. Justeaze's use of the third magic was like careful knitting. It would take several years to save just one person, making the salvation of the entire human race virtually unattainable.
In addition, while Justeaze herself did not age, her body was so frail it would take little to kill her, so she could not leave the castle.
Since her intelligence and mentality were also unaging, she did not develop at all. From an outside perspective, it was as if she was repeating a single day for all eternity.
If she were to leave the castle she would be freed from this "single day", but the act of leaving the castle signified an easy death for Justeaze.

In the end, they accepted that humans could create something that surpassed humans, but not something that could save humans.
...Or perhaps they would not have failed if a miracle like Justeaze had not occurred.
Justeaze was always a homunculus, but she was one made by accident and not replicable.

Thanks. So she was kept in the castle for close to 900 years before she went to Fuyuki?

What's the proto-Germanic form of "Einzbern"?

probably not altogether that different, depending on what you interpret アインツベルン as rendering

mind you the アインツベルン would not be speaking proto-germanic 1000 years ago. Old High German or Old Saxon probably. depending on where in germany you situate them

Awright. Well, I don't know much about the timeline of Germanic diversification.

fon Ein(z)beran. The Z is archaic, though, from P.G. *ainaz.

Genuinely surprised Peter Pan isn't a Servant. Neverland seems like an easy thing to make some Reverse Side fairyland story out of.

  15. #31575
Honestly it feels like nusrsery rhyme at all the potential of fairy tale servants

Even though i honestly feel calling her a embodiment of nursery rhymes dumb as she only ever uses alice in wonderland stuff

I still remember my disappointment when London was released and Nursery Rhyme was just Alice instead of multiple stories or a variant of Gudao, since she's supposed to reflect her Master.

Just retcon her to be the embodiment of alice in wonderland, since she even dislikes a lot of hans originals which feels OOC for a embodiment of fairy tales

By this point I'm probably 50/50 on new FGO characters being disappointments, and a lot of that stems from some of the missteps of Early Part 1.

Well, with Nezha, you'd at least see the direction of such a character. Went from canonical shota to not even loli. Also, wasn't there some line in Kara no Kyoukai that one can only murder 1 person in their life? Is that basically like that saying among soldiers that it (the killing) gets easier?
