From what I've read, the Ancient Greeks didn't really worship the Protogenoi like Gaia all that much, and they tended to worship the Theioi who presides over natural forces.

Again, there is a lot we don't know about Ancient Greek religious practice because a lot of stuff wasn't written down and wasn't preserved materially.

Theoi is the plural of theos which is greek for 'deity', theism is theos + -ism.

The other way round definitely happened in Late Antiquity, and many surviving records of Greek mythology and religion were compiled by Byzantine monks who wrote with a very Christian perspective on a religion several centuries gone by that point. That being said, the non-Christian religions of the Mediterranean have plenty of pre-Christian records and likely weren't warped by Christianity themselves before they died off.

Huh, didn't know there was a named Tohsaka ancestor besides Nagato and Tokiomi. From now on my headcanon shall be that this Tokinaga is Tokiomi's grandfather and the Tohsaka master who fough in the third HGW.

And mine shall be that he was the Master of the 2nd Holy Grail War because that name just feels like it belongs in the Edo period. If anyone wants to contradict me about whether Tokinaga is an old-fashioned name, feel free.

Mine is that there's no Tokinaga. Rin said the notebook was from all of her predecessors and Shirou put a big pause between the names, so I think he just read the Toki in Tokiomi and the Naga in Nagato. The kanjis match.

As you might expect from Rin's ancestor, he was prone to goofing up. Also, it seems that his daughter was the one with talent for sorcery, and ended up being far more useful in the construction of the Great Holy Grail than her father was.
