Huh. Why hasn't there been a Guy Fawkes servant yet? Feels ripe for a 2*.

The whole point of magi is preserving a legacy. That's why magic crests exist. So sacrificing your children to preserve your own existence would theoretically be taboo, because you're killing the chance of your family being preserved (not so say that some mages will do it zouken/darius/the dude who summoned gil in SF)
It's the casual sociopathicness that defines mages, but when they do horrible experiments on their children, it's for a reason.
In Case Files, the Iselma sisters want to seek asylum because they decide their father's magical experiments on them are risking the preservation of their magecraft.
Is there a reason why doing whatever you want with any spares set to inherit nothing would be a problem?
A spare is a spare is because you never know what might befall the heir. If you'd prefer to have no spare, to get the spare out of your hair, you may despair when your heir is suddenly no longer there.
かん汗ぎゅう牛じゅう充とう棟
Expresses the exceeding size of one's library.
Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.
Read out as 「Ushi ni ase shi, munagi ni mitsu.」

Sola's family being like "oh, that's a shame" wrt Kayneth dying while being like "literally whomst?" wrt to Sola dying lives in my head rent free (because it's funny)
Do you think magi blaspheme verbally? Like, you know, "oh my god", "Jesus Christ", etc etc. Or would that be kind of... idk, I can imagine reasons why they wouldn't. Or do you think that aspect of normal people culture of the countries they live in is so dominant that it slips into their language anyway?
All this only applies to magi that use languages where people blaspheme, obviously.
We know that Zelretch doesn't, which is why the japanese will never forgive him.
A realization inspired by the debates in FsF: Lemina Eltfromm is a hot female Kayneth.
- Mage trying to add brains to a lineage with a big history of solving problems by brute force.
- Moe loser in an arc about entering a Holy Grail War naively thinking they are prepared.
- Third wheel in their two teammates' romance.
- Waver is the only mage who seriously believes in their chances of victory.
Depends on your definition of appearing. Waver doesn't show his face or is namedropped, but whenever the novel shows the Grail War stream chat, one of the participants is very unsubtly Waver (has Military Tactics as his username, corrects other commenters on the magical minutia of what's onscreen, is the only person seeing the potential in Lemina's strategies, etc).
