Cursed thought, but I wish there's a Type-Moon version of the infamous Amazing Cultivation Simulator game, but with Western mages and families instead of Chinese ones.
somehow related. two person responsible for FGO lost belt 6 plot change.
original plot changed because Umino created Oberon.
Kinoko is her fanboy.
Please stop. The Famitsu interview doesn't even attribute this directly. And when asked about why he changed the plot from the initial concept directly in TM ACE 14 he gives this answer:
ー当初のプロットから、なぜここまで物語の規模が膨らんだのでしょう。
奈須:一番大きい理由としては、『異聞帯』をきっちり描いてみたい、というのがありました。
He wanted to make something more out of the Lostbelt concept.
In fact if you read it more carefully, you can see in the Famitsu interview that even before he mentions Oberon, he talks about a bunch of other stuff he needed to get done which caused the chapter to change direction.
In addition, he mentions there that the plot was about the same until the start of 2019 (言っても、2019年当初は至極単純な話を考えていたんです。). But we know the meeting between him and Umino Chika was arranged at the start of 2018, because Nasu says as much on his blog about Oberon (where he doesn't mention a single word about how Oberon changed the direction of the story, by the way). So it is in fact much easier for us to assume that Oberon himself didn't change the story, but rather the story changing also changed Oberon's role in it.
it's a false information then? damn.
Yes, and from now on whenever I see someone claim it again, I am going to slap them with this post.
Beware.
Just read the very interview you think you're quoting.
He lists all the more important reasons before mentioning Oberon. He was a last straw, rather than a starting cause.Famitsu: Judging by your enthusiasm, would I be right to assume you wrote without a hitch?
Nasu: Not particularly. I had an extremely simple story in mind at the start of 2019. A narrative that rewards good and punishes evil, in full Mito Koumon style. We beat the bad guys, we beat Morgan, and that's the end. But unforeseen circumstances happened one after the other during development. We didn't have enough character development for Mash, we didn't have enough clues leading to the finale, etc. I had so much to do that the plot planning stage ate up twice the usual amount of time... And to top it off, my blessed friendships got the mangaka Chika Umino to draw a character.
Famitsu: You're getting more excited at every word you speak.
Nasu: That was the moment to throw the Oberon card. It was now or never. As I mentioned, I wasn't planning on making a complex story. But bringing Oberon into the picture changes everything. Since that's where I was using him, I had to take the story one level deeper... and that's how I added to so many new elements that I oversized the story.
The hot new theory now seems to be that Morgan changed the plot instead
well I have TM Ace 14 so I'm going to read the interview.
haven't read it because currently busy reading Case Files.
Yeah, partially because of Takeuchi's description of her conception in TM ACE 14. Something about how she didn't match Nasu's image of PHH Morgan which led to him making the whole situation with Tonelico a thing? Perhaps.
No doubt did that play some role, but I think attributing the entire reason as to why he started mucking around with his simple story concept misses the point. People should probably take his word for it: He changed it because he wanted to make something bigger out of the Lostbelt concept, all the other things (Oberon, Morgan's design, Mashu's character development, the Excalibur plot-line) were a part of this.
could this be the cause of misinterpretation?
