It's time.
It's time.
かん汗ぎゅう牛じゅう充とう棟
Expresses the exceeding size of one's library.
Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.
Read out as 「Ushi ni ase shi, munagi ni mitsu.」

couldn't you at least have sourced a decent quality png
Call me 想φαγω.
Spoiler:
Should've cited 『産業社会とその未来』 instead
It kind of makes me wonder how many potencial species could've stuck around to the modern day had the Holy Church also not aided in eliminating them.

The standards for science are ever changing and should not include that which is unethical.
Call me 想φαγω.
Spoiler:
Don't think. Imagine.
I remember reading a description of magecraft back in the day that summarised basically said "Magic can achieve anything science can irrespective of time or resources." So while a scientist might be able to build a big ass laser to burn a hole through steel, it will ultimately take time, effort and material resources/money to complete. Whereas a mage that knows the right spell can cast "Granpa's Old Fashioned Face Melter" just by reciting a couple of words.
The inverse can happen too. Why waste mana to use eye enhancement spell when you can just use a telescope?
When you don't have it.

And when you do, you use it. Be flexible, don't be like Tokiomi.
#NotAllMages
Super common trope in a lot of works, usually said by cranky old men, like "magic must defeat magic" or "don't be too proud of this technological terror you've created"... Well, not just cranky old men, in the case of Charmed. "Fireballs and firearms don't mix", which is objectively untrue even without magic, such as with flamethrowers.
Isnt the magic must defeat magic idea your quoting is from fucking jackie chan adventures, and wasnt the logic of it usually like shit could cause massive imbalances which would allow other things to rise? or that was part of it as i recall uncle got mad at shendu being dealt with tin the way they did allowing the other demons to appear
Wow, you're good. And the other one was Vader from Star Wars.
As much as I think Alf Layla wa-Layla is a cool NP I wish they hadn't just shoved all of the Arabian Nights into it because it means we're unlikely to ever see figures like Ali Baba or Sinbad as Servants, and I think cool stuff could have been done with them.
Technically I guess there's nothing stopping it in the same way there's nothing stopping Ionioi Hetairoi or Rounds of Lionheart characters from being more fleshed out, but I do think it makes it much more unlikely.

Also I know it's beating a 5 year old dead horse but Scheherezade's character was done dirty.
