The patriarch only paid half attention to the scientist, preoccupied as he was with the actual data presented to him.

"It will definitely be able to handle the energy needs of the new frame, with some extra leftover for the capacitors. It should increase next quarter's profits-"

Did the boy ever shut up? He could very well read the data slate with his own eyes. He was only just breaching two hundred years old, not even close to senility.

"So we're going to run the next round-"

And he brought his fist down on the mahogany table, silencing the irritant.

"I am aware of the situation perfectly well, Dr. Orwell. I don't want you bringing this up again unless the schedule is derailed. You are dismissed."

A quick stutter, a bow, and the patriarch was alone again in his study.

Sighing, he permitted himself a brief shake of the head. The Grail War in the Fuyuki Arcology over in Japan was eating up their revenues much more rapidly than expected this decade, thanks to unnaturally accelerated recharge cycle from the last one causing cascade issues throughout the family's numerous businesses.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd been able to salvage Servant Saber after that particular clusterfuck, but the damage to the Fuyuki Arcology caused by the Tohsaka Servant's killsat had buried it irrecoverably beneath the rubble. They didn't have the authorization to reclaim the frame to rebind the spirit to, at this point.

They had to start entirely from scratch here.

At least number five was only giving them a minimum of issues; not like its predecessor model, which had gotten far too uppity thanks to that man they'd so foolishly contracted to act as the unit's security detail.

On the monitor behind his desk, which he ignored with not a care in the world while sipping his drink, all that could be heard was screams.

Yes, number five would be able to support the frame just fine.
