Is it wrong that I find morning Rin inhumanly attractive (And I have since I read the VN)?

I mean, there's just something appealing about her disheveled look, tired eyes, unwillingness to do shit properly...

I mean, DAYUM. She is hot like that, son.

I understand Yukika's thoughts about her perfectly. I wouldn't want her to let go either.

That bitch never could make things easy, huh?

It's not like they even met very often; twice a century, at most, assuming she wasn't working on a major project.

... and assuming Van Fem wasn't hosting one of those really nice boat parties specifically for the Ancestors.

Assuming everything was going normally, they met so very infrequently.

So, Rin figured, it would at least make sense to allow her to visit without having to waste magic to split the network of moats and rivers that encompassed her colleague's less than glamorous estate.

Honestly ...

Well, she was at the last one, so it wasn't a big deal.

And the lake truly was a marvel beneath the full moon; one of the few natural wonders left, protected by the dead apostle's Territorial Field from the massive build-up of consumptive infrastructure by the humans.

When did she stop thinking of herself as one of them? Had the years truly worn away at her identity that much?

Sigh.

Well, it wasn't all bad. After this last meeting she only needed one more component to perform the ritual. That was the entire reason she'd done this, after all.

She just had to bribe the right person.

And she really hated this thing about not being able to cross bodies of water under her own power. What kind of lame weakness was that?

One her host didn't share, the lazy bitch.

Ugh.

Now she just had to ... wait.

What.

"Bottle-chan, you're in your own moat. Again."

She heard only a gurgle as the woman who was laying face down in the castle's moat tried to respond to her, and only then remembered that she was unintelligible while underwater.

Ancestor #21, the Water Bottle. Probably the strangest company Rin had ever kept.

Well, okay, there was that time she'd had tea with a purplehead and a giant magical robot who wanted to end humanity, but that was a one-time deal.

"Are you going to lift your head up and talk to me, or am I gonna just have to pour this stuff on the ground myself?"

She held up a pair of bottles, clanged them together, and raised an eye to watch while waiting.

Sumire was quick to dive down, then back up so her head was above the water. "Wassat?! Aahh, Tohsaka-nee, you bring me the best stuff~"

That's not what you said the last time we spoke. Yeesh, this lush turned on a dime.

"Gimme!"

She was such a sight, reaching helplessly out from the moat in her direction and making little grabbing motions. Somehow, this unmarriagably aged dead apostle could keep her brown ponytail in perfect care while submerged.

It left her with a very mixed image: on one hand, she was a Dead Apostle Ancestor, and the hair thing was just the slightest giveaway. You know, besides the red eyes. Not someone to cross. On the other... wow, she was really like Shirou's surrogate sister. The one with the nickname; she forgot what it was, something to do with cats. Her former teacher.

So, in other words, they were both scary competent, and frighteningly immature.

Worse, Sumire was a drunk.

Still reaching out helplessly ... sigh.

Okay, she was a softy.

"Here, just for coming around."

In went the bottle!

"YESSSSS!"

... how did this woman get her rank?!

"You get the other one when you give me what I came for."

Oh. Oh, puppy eyes with her lips wrapped around a bottle neck.

"... okay, okay, fine, I'll have a drink with you first."

Luckily her clothes were enchanted waterproof, so she didn't have an issue settling down to sit by the moat, legs submerged to her ankles.

Up went the cork, and out came her glass. Because she had class, unlike this lush.

"You're so stuffy, Tohsaka. Come on, it's just us! Drink from the bottle, not like I care about indirect kisses."

What.

"Don't say things that can be misconstrued, idiot!"

Oh no, that sly look on her face-

"Ohoho, who said there was anything misconstrued about it~? Come on, live a little! You gotta do something that isn't focusing on some dead guy."

... says the blood drinking corpse that was lucky she wasn't waterlogged.

"I talk to you and Brunestud, don't I? We had crepes on a boat before."

Mmm, crepes. When did they get around to that one, anyway?

"And I bet you don't even remember when we did it!"

Such an accusation, Bottle-chan. Someone miss her too much?

"But really, you need to come around more. It's boring, and Rita's always going on about her boring artsy shit, so I dun get anyone else to drink with."

At least she didn't slurr when she spoke.

Fuck, she did hiccup once she got going, though. Which made no sense.

"You know I have research projects to deal with, Bottle-chan. I can't spare the time."

No, no, stop waving your arms in front of yourself in the water- wait, wait!

She didn't notice that part before.

"A-Are you naked under there?!"

Yes.

Yes, Sumire was naked under there.

And there wasn't even much to see.

One of my favorites, though we don't know much about her. Lazy, drunk, powerful over bodies of water...except for that last one, it fits for Suika and Yuugi. :3

I wonder what they'd do to me if I beat them on a game...

I cannot decide if they would squish me like a bug. Drain me dry. Or keep me prisoner till they beat me.

I mean if you think about it they would think of me (very correctly) as a lesser creature...yet this keeps nagging at me. How would they treat a vanilla human that beat them at a game?

Heh nevermind the ones that are not even human in the first place (ORT, Einnashe, Primate Murder, TATARI...). #3's stuffed inside Arc, and #10 seems to be cursed to die from random kids with power-ups. And of course #27's stuck somewhere, somehow.

I came back from a party (I HATE parties) and saw this. This brightened me up. The ancestor was fun, and her interaction with Rin was also fun.

I really like what you're doing with Rin forgetting most of her past life in Fuyuki. It's interesting and new.

I hope to see more of this. This was nice.
