Thread: Mahou Tsukai no Yoru free range discussion thread, spoil as thou wilt

Yeah. With the battle scene in the trial and the one that McJon posted, it appears that even if Aoko-sensei's powerlevel is higher than Alice's, Alice's magic wins at being freaky.

It's because Aoko may be suckier as a magus, but she's specced for battle, while Alice is a puppetmaster at heart.

Well, most fairy tales have a touch of horror in them, especially if you go back to the original folk versions. Alice's mother being obsessed with Lewis Carrol probably made it bit more friendly though.

Alice's magic is sneaky magic, Aoko's magic is blunt.

I've been reading through the last half-dozen pages in this thread and noted something. So we should expect sequel(s) to Mahou? And it's not really a complete novel in itself?

...it would be a lot easier if my copy came in through the post tomorrow but not holding my breath...

Nasu said that he 'wants' to write a second part just like he 'wants' to do a sequel to Tsukihime... You get the idea...

    Oh...
Knowing him, that's another way of saying no.

...Or his troll-way of saying you-can-wait-all-you-want-but-you'll-never-see-it-in-your-lifetime. He'll probably write up the script and instruct his great grandchildren in the distant future to publish it on his behalf or something.

EDIT - Just noticed that Alyeris is a Jafa as well...

As far as I know, he never said that he "wanted" to do a sequel to Tsukihime. He's always considered the concept of Tsukihime II to be "nonsense" and only used it to troll fans.

I might as well ask this here as well while I remember...

How does the final Mahoyo run on people's computers? The trial had serious issues with it hogging resources, which was apparently quite widespread.

It runs fine on my laptop, but given the games this thing can eat I'd be shocked if it didn't. Really, I'm useless as a benchmark.

Have you 'finished' finished or just finished the main storyline? The murder mystery is a serious time killer.

What is it with you people and finishing this thing like three days after getting it, anyway?

Main storyline. Murder mystery's going to take too much time.

I'm mentally replaying Kojika's lines with Kugyu's voice btw.

It's to do with whether you can stand not knowing the end of a story or not I suppose. I can't bear not finishing a story once I pick it up, and it's rare for me to sleep before I do.

Really? I was doing the same except with Aisaka Taiga's voice lol.
