Maybe, Treyarch has been better than IW lately, BLOPS was the best game in the series after MW, and it's a good change of setting. Could be good, could be run of the mill.
I just want good singleplayer stealth missions.
You call your game Black Ops and then it's 99% shooting commies in the open interrupted by THE NUMBERS MASON.
Though I actually kinda liked the plot, I mean yeah, it was kinda out there and kicked realism out of the window (I mean even more than usual, CoD was never a "realistic shooter"), but it was actually something unexpected for the cowadoodie franchise.

The tech in this looks exactly like classic Command & Conquer. As soon as I saw the helicopter/plane hybrids I was like, "Woah, Orcas!?" and then I saw the other things and they were coloured and designed like GDI units.
This is just hilarious. I can't wait to see the Nod faction.

More like BF2142 amirite (okay maybe not but it's a shooter franchise, it's a better place to rip off).
C&C Renegade, fuck yes. I loved that game. Hard as hell (Nod Obelisks were goddamn MURDER) but really, really fun.
And yeah, I wish EA hadn't taken such a massive shit all over C&C like they did. It used to be a great, respectable series, and now it's just dead and gone. With the whole entire plot wrapped up without any real way to work off of it, the regular series as a whole is literally dead. I can only hope that BioWare somehow pulls off a damned miracle with Generals 2, or else I'm swearing off the C&C franchise for good.

I'm just saddened that we won't be seeing anymore mammoth tanks or Orcas. The "Tiberium Wars" Fan Fic had me hungering for some more C&C3. Hehehe... House sized tanks ftw.
Looking at Generals 2 though, I'll be interested to see what they present in E3. Is it possible they'll actually bring RTS' back into the light? There's been too many FPS, 3PS, or RPGs hogging the limelight recently.
Also, Five, you're forgetting about the cancelled C&C Tiberium. That was supposed to be a FPS in C&C.
No RTS in the last few years is probably because SC2 murders all competition.

In an RTS this is actually a valid way to end the game. Like in C&C3 with the Tiberium bomb.

The Tiberium Bomb was stupidly useless, though. Like, you can do what that bomb does with a few decent tanks. There's literally no sense to it, and it's hilariously stupid. It's not even a choice of morality; it's more like, "Drop the bomb and be evil, or don't and have less people die and achieve the same victory!"
