I'm just glad they're still available, tbh, I figured they'd eventually pull them and stick them in the cash shop or something. Which would be a shame considering they're very cool (well, the DRG/NIN/PLD ones at least).

You know when I started doing the Shadowbringers Raid series against the FF7 Weapons, I wasn't expecting to get a Gundam storyline.

And I definitely wasn't expecting to pilot a Gundam in gameplay.

Wow, Gaia's terrible. Her character, her face. The only good thing is the outfit. Maybe she should have stayed in the armour. Same with the Legatus in the Weapon series. Sure you get to go all Kamoshida with his face, but when he looks like he's a a 60 yr old country singer there's just some dissonance between the two.

So I'm at the opening of Endwalker. It's actually starting pretty slowly, despite all the urgency that has been shown beforehand. Lots of poking around and investigating, but nothing as big as Journey's Head or Eulmore.

Lots of good things from the peeps who were given the chance to play it, from a lot of sources.
So it seems like we're in for a fun time. Yoshi throwing some shade on the XV development, but I'm glad at least one dev is learning from mistakes of the past somewhat.
If this is the engine for XIV but upgraded, we're in for something once they finally get the update.

I think it'll be a while, since they still have to consider the players who are stuck on PS4.

Eventually that will end, given we are 3 years nearly into the PS5 life cycle, so the rollout will be when they finally say goodbye to last gen.

I think at that point they may even overhaul the game system entirely, if they don't rope Yoshida to do another MMO for XVII or XVIII.
