I love ALL/MOST of them!!!
Just finished FFXV demo. It was pretty fun, but the camera needs some work. If you end up facing over 20 enemies at a time it doesn't follow you well enough and you end up losing track of which enemy you were currently beating up.
Oh yeah, the FFXV demo came with a free game.
I've taken all of them for a spin now (except Rem and Machina, who I'm ignoring), some in the field and some just in the arena. I fucking HATE Mace, Flute, and Pistols, and I'm not decided on Rapier, Lance, or Bow yet. I like pretty much everyone else though, my favorites are probably Magnum, Scythe, and Card.
The FFXV post-demo sequence for anyone who can't play the demo:
Very good.
The art in the older final fantasies is much better.
FFXV is going to be too amazing
I knew Square Enix could still make a good game aaaaaaaaaaaa
Fighting after unlocking all phantom blades in the demo:
I also made a start on Type-0. Interesting to see an actual attempt at a violent Final Fantasy, judging by the intro. I don't mind the war themed story for a change, although, yeah, the story doesn't seem like it's going to be the best thing in the world.
Ok one last post then I'll stop going on about it.
Spoiler:
Ramuh, Shiva, Titan on the right. Diabolos or Bahumat on the left? With Siren.
And in the background???????
Knights of the Round???????????????????????????????????
???????
FYI: in one of the Active Time Report Q&A Tabata said that a lot of stuff in demo is WIP and subject to radical change since development is only half done or so. Particularly the UI, they were going to redo it after the demo. I mean, this should come as no surprise to those that played the XIII demo before the game came out later, but just a reminder.
Nice, thanks for sharing. See, this is why I really think old time veterans should give things a chance without being so stuck in nostalgia.
Too many reviews have had people on the fence because in their hearts they somehow thought that SE would forego all their plans and make this game enclosed turn based again. That for them, nothing else is Final Fantasy.
Man all these videos make me just want to try it out so badly lol.
"Fate/stay night: not really an eroge, and not really a cooking sim, but actually an RPG wherein everyone’s primary stat is “self-loathing” and the goal is to level it up beyond all the other characters."
Is the camera currently awkward or is the guy just bad at controlling it?
Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.
The camera is a bit awkward.
Still a really good demo though, and I really enjoyed the battle system. And I love fighting after obtaining all phantom swords, made me feel like a total badass. End game Noctis would definitely be a good servant material.
Regalia Hijinks
Personal Compliments
I will say this about the demo: Square, fix the goddamn AI of the other dudes. Too often am I fighting I turn and see them just standing there doing fuck all.
Over the Keel Mountains, Meets an ape with human speech. The ape asks, "What clings to you? Bear it—you cannot. Accept it—you cannot. But hidden—it is from you. Recite its name."
It's an advent in AI processing. Not only can it choose the best course of action for a given situation, it can actually feel genuine admiration for how awesome you, the player, really are. It wasn't glitching out, it was simply dumbstruck at your battle prowess.
If anything it's the spin-offs that should be turn-based if they're really intent on keeping that dinosaur of a game system around in an era where it doesn't belong.
I mean, assuming they want to keep the series alive.
eh, turn-based can be done well and all, just look at games such as Shadow Hearts 2 (best turn based system around), Grandia or Atelier Escha to Logy.
