I'll just pop in to say FF14 is about as shit as you can imagine.
The old XIV you mean. The new one seems decent.
I would say better but it's really not that hard to be better.

Dear god, this is once again tempting me towards a console.
I'm liking the Advent Children gone nuts style animation in combat finally. The tag teaming mechanic looks good too? Are they passing and swapping weapons around?
BEHOLD! THE SIG OF GOLDEN TRUTH! Pillaged from McJon, Tsukikan et al.
It does seem awesome combat-wise.
You know its really ironic of them to announce a "final" FF, considering the very first FF was supposed to be the "final" game of square. And now they are in jeopardy with lots of fanhate again and announce a"final" one, are they hoping for history to repeat itself?
I don't remember 15 being mentioned to be the final one. Hell we know it isn't since they've mentioned others in the works before e3, unless they're just going to rebrand them.
The hell are you talking about break?

He's just high.
The thread name is based on the original game. Don't make this mistake again or else your death will be more humiliating than being run over by a boulder.

Necowain the II
awawa.
on a side note on my replay of ff8 now i managed to snag the Seifer and Edea cards after about 20 reloads. fucking prinicapal and matron and their fucking random and plus cetra-rules. im SO gonna go to the dude in balamb and delete those rules right nao.
Yes I meant the old FFXIV but the new ARR one is still shit from my perspective. Looks pretty though. Though I suppose I should wait a wee bit longer to completely condemn it.
So, how about another polll... which are you guy's favourite designs and versions of the recurring memetic enemies, that is to say, which is your favourite Malboro etc.? FF9's randomly flieng around form? ff10's "i have eyes in some of my tentacles" form? ff8's unusually light green and really hard form? FF12's small but crowned and mustache'd form? the classical 2D forms? or another?
12 is the best.
Look at that mustache
look at that crown
that is a royal fucking malboro
All others are plebs before its majesty.
at first i was extremely disappointed when seeing 12's malboro's because they go tiiiny.
But then.
THAT ROYALITY.
IT CONQUERED ME IN NO TIME AT ALL.
that beeing said, classical Inka-doodle Cactuars or 11,12 more "realistical", "cute" cactuars? i like both somehow. Then again FF8 had a classical Cactuar with a mexican mustache, so...
hmmm Tonberry's designs never really changed.
Torama looked awesome in 8 and 10, and dumb in 9 and 12.
As for the Desert worms i liked part 9's classical Dune-like design.
Mimics always looked the same except for ff12's funky insect-design.
Ochu's didnt really vary much in design, aside from part 10 giving them more tentacles but in turn taking their teeth away.
Best Chocobo-minigame was obviously part 9's. Then again i never played Chocobo world because of lack of a pocketstation.
IV's propably, for the annoyingness.
FF8's was actually the most dangerous one. You basically had to be perfectly outfitted against it and even then stuff could happen. And it was nice how you had few obligatory battles against it if you wanted Doomtrain, it usually killed you the first time around because you weren't prepared for quite that level of shenanigans.
FF7's definitely the gayest Malboro. It just stands there and gets killed because it has like 4k HP. At least X tries to punch you, and is tough, and drops cool stuff.

yeah, it pulls like every status ever on you, and FF8 working with junctions instead of equipment, there wasnt a convenient Ribbon you could use to block them. So the thing could kill you even if you were superperfectly junctioned.
FF9's was arguably the easiest, with its bad breath only hitting one target so that was easily healed, and it was slow and randomly started floating like it didnt care, making Twister hit for more damage.
yeah FF7's malboro is so gay that i dont even remember its deisgn for the life of me.
Wow, the FF Wiki has quite a lot of specific info on XV.

that's cause everybody has been humping the game with only a few trailer in 7 years like it's hot topic
