Spoiler:
It had better at least live up to half of its hype.
Just found this thread. Interesting. I like the name.
It's a shame multiple votes aren't allowed. I would have marked V through VII, and The Crystal Bearers. That game's soundtrack was great.
VII only won out over VI because Crisis Core was the first game to make me actually cry.

I wonder if and how much better the Japanese voice track is? I saw it the other day and wasn't really satisfied with it in general but the voice work was pretty Meh.

That counter Noctis uses against Aranea is pretty boss. Blocks the hit, grabs her head and smashes it into the floor. The slight jig he does afterward is pretty gif'able.
I miss the Crystal Bearers… it was far from the best FF game I've played, but it had great music (Bahamut Strikes, loved that), a fun atmosphere, cool characters, a main character who was very entertaining to watch. And the world itself was actually surprisingly beautiful, especially considering it was only a Wii game.
If only the actual gameplay wasn't so unnecessarily diverse… You had to learn the entire environment in each area before you were actually able to fight anything stronger than a goblin effectively there.

Some things, first look of Shiva near the end.
Regis can identify Ardyn at sight but Noct and his friends literally have no idea who he is until he just outright says his name. Is his appointment as Chancellor that recent or is Noctis' education in international affairs just that lacking?
Another game the gang plays in game to be released for mobile.
I'll still stick with games that aren't pay to win. Though that bit at the end was funny.

Has it ever been said whether we'll be able to switch the text language of the game between English and Japanese, like in the demo?
I feel like this is unlikely because it would encourage people to circumvent regional pricing differences, but I can dream...
Kingsglaive was pretty decent as far as no-brains spectacle movies go. The Old Wall was sweet.

Democracy on Beast's Lair
Just saw a review of Final Fantasy Tactics and it reminded me I had A2 in my collection. Decided to bust it out for the nostalgia vibe, ended up marathoning it for 12 hours.
“Yet the burden shall be shared by two entwined, from which the sword will part from the body and be bestowed upon the vassal to sacrifice themselves and cleave through space and time.”
“Mark upon this unworthy flesh the emblem of the sacrifice, the vassal whose death shall bring forth victory through the fields of steel and blood!”
“The oath is laid here. We are the ones who represent all the good within the pure lands, and we are the ones who judge what is evil within the pure lands. Thou, Seven Heavens clad in three mere words of unequal power, shall emerge from the spiral of control, O keeper of the balance—!”

Out of curiosity, does anyone else still cry at the end of Crisis Core when they see it?
