My crack theory is that Zack will come back to die in Aerith's place so that we can get a major impactful moment that is not brought down from years of "spoiler: Aerith dies" jokes and we don't have to sacrifice potential play styles to it.

My theory is that Aerith will still die but that one of the convoluted “Revive Aerith” rumors will actually work this time... only for her to die again, because the plot demands it.
Which is more evil in that case, having her die the minute she resurrects so all your efforts are immediately for nothing, or have her actually join your party until you reach a certain gate and then have her die then, to get your hopes up that it actually succeeded only to rip it away?

There is a surprising amount of graphical hiccups in this game. I’m shimming on a ledge in Chapter 15 and it looks like a PS1 pre-render is down below.

PSA: Don’t bother with the evade/dodge button outside of transitioning out of Cloud’s Punisher stance. It’s useless otherwise.
I dunno, it's been helping me with Hell House fight and getting that extra boost of movement.
I dunno what wizardry you’re using to make it work, but after beating the game there wasn’t a single time it wasn’t just better to block for me. There are no I-frames on dodge and the distance traveled is pitiful.
A lot of things are not blockable, it's just experimenting and dying until I find out which is which.
Can I dodge this? Can I counter it without it leaving me open? Can I actually block the entire attack without being thrown?
Also, dodge before hitting the ground to recover and gain distance saved me a good deal sometimes.
Welp I just discovered the Hellhouse can get even more annoying on hard by spawning 3 tonberrys.
