I think we are safe here for the most part, since Yoshida is going to be the producer, and they are getting the writer who did Shadowbringers on board(why it seems they are going with a darker tinge but this time unlike with XV, if Shadowbringers has shown anything they'll likely keep to that tone), along with the fact they poached a dude who worked for the battle choreography for DMC5 (which is why the camera positioning and execution of the moves seems reminiscent of DMC).
Seems they want to hit every note as hard as they can, so I think instead of immediately being guarded here, its alright to be optimistic.

So they literally say Dragon Knight instead of Dragoon. The MC seems like the same VA as Noctis.

If nothing else, watching the trailer for FF16 has got me itching to go back and play the re-releases of older FF games that I bought some time ago. I haven't had a try at FF12 - Zodiac Age or FF10 HD...not to mention I haven't even touched RE:7 yet.

So many games, so little time. @_@

Yeah sounds about right. I'm in that second group of FF players but not 7, and I gave the game a 9/10. It would probably have been my game of the year if 13 Sentinels hadn't come out of nowhere and crushed everything. I also prefer Aerith to Tifa like the others in my group too, although if Jesse shows up again maybe she'd win.

I've heard speculation that Ever Crisis is the followup to the Zack plotline from Remake. Plus it lets the next game be Final Crisis.

They did say they wanted to have a more steady but swifter production, and they have other divisions, so they can do more than one thing at a time.

Yeah, I've always been hardline CloTi, and still am, but Aerith worked really hard to win me over. her new VA… she was just spectacular. Honestly, I was really worried by the thought of all the VAs being replaced. Honestly, by the end, the only ones I wanted back were George Newbern (Seph), Rick Gomez (Zack), and Quinton Flynn (Reno). Everyone else was just flat-out better. And Briana White's Aerith was the best out of all of them.

Its the end of one arc. But we'll have to be doing something huge in the next arc for this just to be the end leading into another arc.

Just played FFVII Remake, and I'd say it's a blast especially playing it on Normal mode.

Classic and Easy modes can go pack their bags. Thanks to Genshin's freaking switch of character mechanics every few seconds, I'm starting to get a hang of this game in Normal mode.

And yep, lady Tifa's really fast. Good thing I got the hang of it at the cost of Cloud's rep being down in the dumps and me frequently switching to Tifa to save Cloud with her blitz attacks.

Been using Cloud's punisher mode always since Operator mode's too weak. And also because I like the Punisher mode's added bonus of countering while defending.

Been taking me a while to switch between tactical method and all out attack method though to consume ATB so I just assign shortcuts. Although I wanted to try out tactical mode for their other attacks and spells.

seeing as they’re bending the plot even further to include her earlier, I wish they did so for Red XIII even more now.

And Now we have Final Fantasy go the battle royal route with The First Soldier.

FF7 Ever Crisis is a mobile remake of FF7 and all the compilation games (Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and even Advent Children) that will be releasing as chapters over time. Visually it looks like an HD of the original FF7. I bet it'll get ported to consoles and PC once all the chapters are released, like FF15 Pocket Edition.

Regarding the Yuffie thing in Remake, god I need a PS5 ASAP.
