It's unfortunate that they had Zack's new actor from Remake go back and dub over the old actor's lines in the Crisis Core remaster. I prefer most of the new cast but new Zack is a huge downgrade from the old one.

I don't believe that. They're gonna have to remake the game from the beginning anyway, there's no reason not to improve a few things here and there. Already from the trailer you can see the UI's been reworked, for example.

I don't know about FFVIIR2, but I did play Crisis Core years before I touched FF7 (and never got past the prologue on that anyway )

They're calling Crisis Core fully voiced, so the scenes that were previously text-only like Yuffie's sidequest will probably have VAing now. I guess that's why they had the Remake actors dub over the old lines instead of just reusing audio, so it's consistent between the old scenes and new scenes.

The DMW Flashbacks would be nice to have voiced if Reunion's truly gonna be "fully voiced." Oh and those 1st Class Fan Clubs bits would be neat I guess

Makes me think if they're gonna do another Compilation for this new timeline of FFVII. Crisis Core being remade/remastered makes sense since it's a prequel, but the plot beyond FFVII is gonna be unknown for Remake's version, meaning Advent Children doesn't count, and I must say goodbye for potential DoC remake.

Hmm, they only used the Kalm flashback scenes, but since we have a compass now I'd suspect areas are going to be fairly large.

Perhaps as they trickle stuff out we'll get to see how the areas of the wider world will be. I'd guess their media blitz will heat up in the coming weeks for both XVI and Rebirth.
So I'd say beyond some sprinkles on Twitter, it'll be Tokyo Game Show/The Game Awards for the next tease. Possibly TGA given Forspoken needs its own media spotlight.

For a compilation - wasn't Ever Crisis supposed to be that?
It's essentially to summarise all the stories of the compilation - even that old JP phone only thing Before Crisis. I think was also supposed to cover the after like Advent and Dirge.
After VIIR that announcement seemed to indicate that's where they want to retell the original compilation and further nailed down that VIIRE will be going different places.


With confirmation that VIIRE is 3 parts - then I guess the remaining parts may be world roaming. Rebirth will end at that part. Or at least where that happened in the OG - whatever will happen this time. Re? can essentially reuse most what they've built in the first two parts for the final stretch.

I'm afraid that's what defines FFVII at this point.

WRO, Deepground, Chaos and Omega, Genesis, and the most mysterious entity Minerva to name a few. How would the Remake tackle the Weapons could also be pondered on considering their sizes and significance.
