Out of doujinshi, has Hiroyama ever drawn the Stay Night version of Illya? For any official illustrations or bonus strips anywhere?

Pressage Flower countdown and Hanafuda aforementioned, he's also done a few guest pieces of her for magazines & official books. Hiroyama's been in the close circle of Type-Moon fans for a long time, even attending fan meetups hosted by the company. Supposedly there's even a guest piece he did of her for Fate/Stay Night back in 2004, but I can't find it if it's even online. He includes it in the omnibus of his doujins "KALMIA Archive" though, so it at least exists somewhere.

Ah, if we're including doujins, those are great. Alexandrite, Shirou Must die!... Gorgon Double Flat featured Ilya a fair bit along with Stheno and Euryale, and You Are the Master the Servant is Me is a classic. Hiroyama had some fantastically fun doujins, I'm glad he's continuing them for Grand Order, as much as I'd like to see him revisit the regular Fate/Stay Night & Hollow cast again.

Fun fact! The last of those was actually re-included recently in the Fate/Stay Night LEGEND Anthology book released just in September.



Realize now I probably wasn't as clear about how much Hiroyama actually loved drawing Ilya. Full doujins, fanart pieces... Prisma Illya's creation was even attributed to the fact he wanted to give her a Fate where she doesn't have a bad ending. I find that really admirable, honestly. The guy really, really loves Ilya. It's no wonder he went from providing guest pieces, to having his own spin-off manga for her.

As for other fan pieces of his: (Fair warning, two are NSFW, though only in the ecchi sense.)



And these four are from KALMIA Archive. Lineart for the guest pieces he's done, at least for 3/4. Which may exist in full color somewhere? Or at least they may inked and shaded, since that is the case for the pool one which is included in Fate Fantasm Box 1.



One day I definitely intend to go back and pick up his first two doujins, since scans of those aren't available online, nevertheless translated. I wonder if they include even more fan-artwork we haven't seen?

Do either of you two (or anyone else) have links to scans (raws or otherwise) of any of those doujins? Assuming any of them are available to read somewhere online that is? I'm not interested in any of the ecchi ones, as I'm not really into loli service stuff (one of several reasons why I don't really like Prisma's version of Illya, and find her regular FSN and Emiya Gohan versions to be the far superior versions of her), but I'd like to take a look at the others if I can.

They're not on Nhentai, they're all Safe-for-work. They are however on Sadpanda, but not sure if you use that site Rokudaime.

Hiroshi Hiroyama, the mangaka for Prisma Illya, has been suffering from Dilated Cardimyopathy. This got to the point where he had a heart transplant earlier this month. He seems to be recovering well now.

Had he had a heart transplant I doubt he could have delivered the latest small batch of pages or the Miyu illustrations for GO at all.

Nah, that's Hiroyama's art style alright, the eyes even match Illya's and Kuro's eyes in their final ascensions. His assistant has a pretty rough shift in artstyle if that one H-doujin he did is any indication.

It doesn't look like Hiroyama ever took a break from Twitter if he did have surgery. At the beginning of the month he stated he caught a cold, and 'he's dizzy' from the cold, this was around the 5th. He was tweeting mostly daily before and after then. It's possible he had surgery, and if that is the case I'm definitely glad if it was that serious so he can get better, but it's also uncertain why he'd even lie about that. It is more likely the news got mixed up with Jun Maeda.

It’s highly likely that lurkers just stumbled upon the earlier discussion ITT about Maeda and dilated cardiomyopathy, and misunderstood it as Hiroyama having it.

I know it's been a few days, but do you have a source for that heart transplant claim? I can only find him talking about having a cold on his twitter, and I know how the Japanese can be, but without an actual source I'd have to just believe him.

If you have a source that also confirms that it was for Dilated Cardiomyopathy like also claimed later, that would also be great.
