What's the Prisma OP joke?

Makes you wonder if Pandora's wish for death is to free Darius from his obsession as well as herself from this hell.

Yeah. Pandora seems to have lapsed into infacy a number of times since Darius's "death." From time to time, she'd also ask Darius if he'd heard the voice of the Fairies again, like she was trying to remind him of his past/origin. Unfortunately, he was too far removed from it all to feel any weight in those words.

Before our journey through time started, Pandora was just finding her footing again, so having her take the next step forward (and likely get back to that kind of active mindset towards Darius) is almost guaranteed to be what's needed to break the stalemate and get a satisfying ending for both characters.


On another note, the way Pandora parallels Miyu adds a lot to their dynamic. Like Miyu, Pandora ran away into despair and was only able to find the light after leaving her shelter and facing all she ran from. A lot of weight came from having Miyu be the one to give Pandora that push, and there's a good bit of irony that Miyu was being made to suffer to end Pandora's suffering when they're so similar in origin.

And while this may not have been Darius's exact intent for Miyu, in OUTS, Kiritsugu mentions a method of salvation that would immortalize Miyu within the planet to save the world, which would have put her in the exact situation Pandora was in. Very cool tie-in now that we know more about Pandora. Really looking forward to what's to come.

Basically Im saying that whenever magi can achieve a level of bullshit that individuals like Darius can, their baggage and trauma tends to be incredible. Prismaverse is OP, but the fundemental thematic rules of Nasuverse still apply.

Fate/Prisma is criminally underrated, even among some of its fans. It's rare to see more than a meme opinion expressed even in the Prisma Discord I'm in; and when people do post complaints, it largely comes from them either being upset that Prisma isn't just a slice-of-life show and/or they don't understand some basic element of storytelling.

Take the plunge or don't, but I'd suggest trying it out and at least deciding for yourself. In my opinion though, it's the quintessential magical girls show and my favorite Fate work.

It's my favorite Fate work as well, with Miyu being my favorite Fate character. It just sucks that in most circles there can't be any conversation about it other than lolicons talking about how hot they think a character is

Can't say Hiroyama and SL didn't pander to that audience. And then, lots of them are anime only, so they can't talk about anything else at the moment since the pace of anime releases is so slow. It being movies now, which means ludicrous wait for BDs before non-japanese fans can watch doesn't help.

Barring the occasional fanservice chapter, 3rei has been a serious endeavor with a core theme that is much more in line with FSN than what anyone probably saw coming.
But people are probably fatigued at this point, the goalpost keeps getting moved and when it looks like things are gonna be resolved soon something bad happens and we're sent 10 steps back.
That is the biggest criticism I have of it so far, 3rei specifically. I think it's overstayed its welcome and some people are ready to move on from this arc.
Characters are done well, the serious tone is adopted really well and the shift isn't jarring or misplaced. The art is top notch and the designs especially of the installed cards are very inspired.

I know. But that doesn't change what's in those earlier parts of Prisma and the anime OVAs and BD specials. That's what I meant with Hiroyama and SL attracting lolicons. And indeed that faitgue plays a part in people preferring to resort to waifu and hornyposting over discussing plot and stuff. Being tired of 3rei leads to those posts where they look back to the first parts of the manga and anime
And again, for anime onlies, the content drought is even worse since they don't seem to want to return Prisma to TV. And movies are bad for any kind of international fans. Gotta wait for BDs, which isn't ideal.

There's also a huge, HUGE gap between the direction the manga took and the anime took in the past few years. Manga eliminated the loli fanservice almost completely (or turned it to more 'acceptable' targets, like Angelica), anime doubled down on it.

I agree with this. Completely and I hate how GO has attracted people who are so anti-loli they get an aneurism every time a loli final ascension is fanservicey. They want the game to suddenly stop pandering to lolicons. And that'll never happen. If they can't stand the lolis, they should drop GO. Seriously suck that the biggest places for GO discussion are full of people who will act like you're a predator for drawings. Really tiresome
