They game seems quite cinematic and is looking good, I hope it is as good as it seems to be on the trailers.
Fyi, the release date of the game was actually moved down for once. It will be coming out October 2nd, which is 1 month earlier than anticipated.

I played this at E3 today. It's more of an action third-person shooter than ever. You even fight dudes with guns now.

Well, even up to RE5 the pace of the combat has been kind of slow/deliberate, if only because of the controls. Some sections in RE6 are indistinguishable from any other third person shooter.
When you say dudes with guns, you also mean giant mutant dudes with guns and tentacles, right?

Well, they could be in the game but my time with the demo was pretty short. I saw army dudes with guns. Cover system. Yeah.
All things considered it's probably not a bad thing as long as a lot of classic RE-tone gameplay is still in there. It would be tough to fight mobile, armed enemies without good shooter controls.

My thoughts are that fighting firearm wielding enemies (probably Manjini) will be a limited section. For those of you who played RE5, that was only the final 1/5 of the game. It was a horrible section too (where the game actually has to prompt you to take cover with GUI commands normally reserved for action commands like melee/active buttons). Odds are, however, that that gunplay section will be with Chris, who bears the brunt of the "kill everything you see" section while Leon and (the other dude) will be closer to the RE classic themes.
Also: I'm hoping we see Jill or Sheva in this. It'd be nice to see a continuity nod at least.
I'm not sure about you guys, but looking at the Gameplay section where Leon has to jump onto the Helicopter... I'm actually excited about this game. Also, was it me or is anyone else annoyed at that section of gameplay physics-wise? Just because your Harrier explodes doesn't mean it'll cause a chain reaction with all the other cars and detonate as violently as a MOAB.
I believe that would be gas lines the Harrier ignited as it was underground when it blew.
