Doms come from turkey eggs.
Indeed.
...
Hopefully not.
If a turkey was painted red, would it go three times faster than the average turkey?

Episode 1.
Watching now. Opinion later...

Half-way through and already I feel that this "Dique" should be the first casualty.
His eyes....
I don't like Dique either.
Something feels off...

Make him Robo-dragon food and everyone wins!
My thoughts on this episode:
Bandai is bringing retroback for this series, apparently. The character designs and mobile suit tech are all classical in some form. Kind of makes sense, when you think about it. After all, where else is there to go from 00 and all of their OP robots? Tech also seems to have reverted as well in comparison to previous Gundam series, since the Federation's mobile suits were just leisurely walking out of the hangar during the UE's attack. Also, the animation seemed clunky in some parts and not as fluid as it could have been.
Flit is a refreshing protagonist, giving his involvement with the Gundam since day one. He knows the military, he's the one who pretty much built the Gundam. And during the attack, there's no falling into the cockpit for him, he climbs right into it.
Beam shiv. Hah.
And bouncy Haro is bouncy.
I like the design of the UE's suits, its like they're out of Zone of the Enders or something boss like that. Those are either the strongest mook suits ever, or the Genoace is the weakest red-shirt suit ever. Probably a mixture of both. It makes the Leo of Gundam Wing look downright badass in comparison.

I also like how the protag's first reaction is to give the Gundam over to an experienced pilot, rather than jump into the fray himself...despite it ending up the same way regardless.
AGE seems to be rapid-firing Gundam tropes left and right, but then they do something different with them.
If this keeps up, then I'll be enjoying AGE quite a bit.

Same here...as long as Dique doesn't become too much of a central character.
Geh, AGE's first episode was actually begrudgingly good >_>

WMG:
Gundam AGE is going to pull a Martian Succesor Nadesico and it turns out that the UE aren't aliens but actually supah-advanced humans.
And Flit will find out that the true purpose of the Mobile Suits is...to make war.
HEROIC BSOD

And Dique will be jettisoned out of the spaceship because they need to lighten their load.
I can hope can't I?
Why not just make it the Newtypes that left Earth and started intergalactic wars against each other then that. Except instead of them all coming back with Turn A's or Turn X's they came back with dragon mobile suits.

Episode 2.
Captain Grodek doesn't mess around.
The DOTS Rifle broke my suspension of disbelief with the spinning drill beam......and I can't give any less of a crap.
The most interesting part about this episode would have to be Yurin's debut. She definitely seems like she's some sort of Newtype-esque character. I'm getting this nagging feeling in the back of my head that she's somehow affiliated with the UE, but we'll have to wait and see about that.
Oh, and the episode's prelude once again hints to the WAR WAR WAR WAR that always plagues a Gundam series. Good to see.

Can a beam spin in the first place? I thought a beam was a ray.
