Man, the fact that it's only one movie out of three means I'll be left hanging so bad when the credits roll. Might be tempted to just wait until all three come out and then binge them.

If the movies take as long to come out as the Unicorn or Heaven's Feel movies did, that's going to be a very long time.

So I was looking through next season's anime list and it had the 3rd G-Reco movie on there and it got me thinking, is G-Reco the most forgettable Gundam anime? There are far worse series than it, but even the bad ones have enough personality in them that they're remembered. Like Victory is a mess, but I'll always remember theRedshirtShrike Team and the Bikini Babe assault on a thirteen year old. Or how the best character in AGE is the one who reads the script and nopes the hell out to become a space pirate. Or how goddamn stupid SEED is. But I have to be constantly reminded that G-Reco even exists.

Didn't finished watching GReco myself and my last memory of it was MC boy doing the deed (taking a dump?) on the built-in toilet in the cockpit chair while 2 of the girl characters are both there with him.
ooooh, I remember that scene!
Yeah, I don't think I made it further than maybe episode 6 or 8, but I'd be hard-pressed to remember more than a few disconnected moments. And half of those moments are just memes.
The only one that comes close to the "wait, that existed?" of G-Reco is After War X, and at least that has half the series be Mad Max with giant robots, and a multi part storyline about saving a family of dolphins.

And the Dolphin was a Newtype or the guy's dead girlfriend was underneath the water or something... I remember watching After War X while I was younger, but it didn't really stick out. That being said, I think that had one of the happier endings.

Got pushed back yet again because of the "Backstreet Boys Reunion tour" still messing w/ everything.
Speaking of Gundam X, it certainly has its issues but I actually really like it. Specially its take on what exactly is a 'newtype'...can be argued to have handled it better compared to what UC has been doing with it lately.
It's been 4 years since IBO ended (at least as far as the original release, it's been 3 years since the dub wrapped up).
Technically that's not very long in the grand scheme of things, but compared to the constant stream of content from like 2011 to 2017 it's felt fairly dry. Even Build Divers seems to be done for now.
You guys think we'll get a new AU Gundam series anytime soon?
Preferably not.
