Yes, it's the year U.C 0105 which means it's set 36 years after the original Gundam anime.
Zeta, ZZ, Char's Counter-Attack, Unicorn and Narrative have all happened in-between. Though of them CCA is the only one you absolutely need to see as it's the only one Hathaway has a prominent role in.
