    Kubo's art is generally more of a realistic, proportional sort of deal. It doesn't translate well to the more cartoony of Jump-dom.

    I mean, Luffy is older than Ichigo and almost exactly the same height, yet I'd swear that I still imagine Ichigo as being a whole head taller.

    I can see what you mean.

    Still, Sorachi's Ussop is so epic.

    Oda should hand drawing Ussop to Sorachi. Then Oda would have trouble balancing out the Awesome that is Ussop with everyone else.

    If I got this right, Hirokyuki Takei was also a former assistant of Watsuki.

    Yeah, as I understand it, Watsuki has helped usher in a half dozen mangaka "greater" than he is. Not that I think that, since Ruro Ken is my favorite anime/manga of all time.

    Indeed. It's pretty sad considering Watsuki's career these days. He's had to go and milk/reboot Kenshin to make some cash because he can't get any new hit. Meanwhile what used to be his apprentice in Oda is now rolling in cash because of OP's insane popularity. Now I am the master indeed.
