So has anybody had a chance to play MH4? How is it? I just bought it off Play-Asia because it was on sale for 23 dollars and Steam has conditioned me to automatically buy anything that's over half off, but I have no idea what I'm getting into.

It wasn't half off.
All I know from videos from a guy that sometimes imports is that there seems to be more mobility or something. Like more climbing cliffs and ledges, jump attacks, that sort of thing. You can also jump on top of monsters and carve their backs with knives.
Also, Charge Blade looks badass.
The Insect Glaive looks cool too, especially the vaulting attacks.

Dunno if you've been following this lately, but there've been demos of MHX lately.
I supposed the most relevant one is this one, that explains the actual shticks with the super moves and styles
Though in summary, it's basically:
Guild - standard moveset, two super moves
Bushido - allows for perfect evade/blocks and counters. one super move
Aerial - evading into an enemy allows you to perform a jump, letting you do aerials. one super move
Striker - three super moves, and they all charge fast
But Bushido, Aeiral, and Striker have reduced movesets, which is how Guild isn't outclassed outside of super moves. For example, in Striker style, GS doesn't have the super charge thing after the side slap anymore.
