Wow, Eternals is really not good. It's like they wanted to make an arthouse movie but misseed the poinant commentary. The characters who get the most focus are the ones you don't give a shit about while all the ones you enjoy are pushed to the sides. Also people just teleport form one end of the planet to another on a whim. The main plot is also kind of about NTR. Also the character origins reveal at the halfway point call into question a bunch of things throughout the story that happen to them. Also Babylon was apparently still thriving in 500 BC, which was weird. I do wonder how the Chinese censors are going to fix the character who is openly gay and kisses his husband goodbye? Sure they can edit out the kiss, but how do explain two grown men of different nationalities taking care of a ten year old?
It's a huge mess, and even worse it's just not entertaining. Has some nice CGI though.
4/10 huge bore, but not bad enough to be fun bad.

Replying to this months later to say that Marvel movies are never about the plot of the movie itself, they're fairly predictable. At this point, it's become a jorney instead of destination type. It's superhero soap opera released in 3 hour chunks, and this one is going to be fanservicier than ever. I'm looking forward to it, especially after the post credits scene in Venom 2.

They downplayed or even whitewashed what Wanda did in the series' final episode, though. "They will never understand what you sacrificed for them", and all that.
Yeah, the final episode was super underwhelming. It's like they pulled back all the risks they took.
