Didn't he also change the way the characters address each other? Y'know, the whole "everyone calls each other by surname in the original, but in the translation they use given names"? I kinda remember the man himself saying that.

He did the thing but IIRC he changed it to what was being said in Japanese after he did Chapter 6 or something like that.
His reasoning was that Kinomi not being called Kinomi felt wrong or something.

Btw the first big boss fight was fukking cool in Ciel's route.

I don't think that is extending, they said no spoilers till Sept 8th and here they clarify to wait until "Sept 8th" is over and you can talk freely from midnight on the 9th.

Can you imagine some guy who's spent the past two weeks rushing through the story sitting there on his keyboard, essay all typed out, waiting for the clock to tick twelve to post it?

I'm pretty sure you can't make journalists sign NDA's that extend past the official release of a product; it's kind of the opposite of their job.
