Uhh, more like he was an associate to the Taima and they ordered the Nanaya to kill the Saiki and hopefully leadership would fall to the Tohno (because Makihisa was supposedly kind and just wanted to live in peace).
What wasn't expected was that Nanaya Kiri would not only kill everyone he would also shank Makihisa during the mission and make Makihisa forever think the Nanaya clan were untamable beasts.
When the Nanaya left the Taima Makihisa decided he wanted to slaughter them and organized a siege.

I thought it was Kiri left the Nanaya I.E the DH. Since At that time the nanaya were the only ones still hunting they were the only actual taima left.
The four Demon Hunting clans were not the only people in the organization. As again technically, Makihisa was also apart of it.
Kiri never left the Nanaya. The entire clan did. The Nanaya were also the fighting dog of the Organization not the leaders of it.

The Taima is big.
I think the Touzaki were also in it from KT.
Either way they had japanese magi in it.

Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.

Shiki originally found out about Makihis's death through the newspaper, I wonder if in the remake he finds outthough facebook or twitter.
And how would Makihisa keep Akiha from sending letters. iirc he never let them get sent to Shiki or was it he never gave akiha shiki's letters. either way E-MAIL!
Oh I already knew about the DH magi. aedict of Binding and all that. You hyped me thinking someone like Tokiomi was lending a helping hand.
They play hanafuda.
Localizationing stuff
I wonder if Shiki can kill an email after it's been sent.
