It's probably because they shortened her hair, for some reason.
It's always funny when a new Takeuchi character design is revealed and people are like "she looks like [character] mixed with [character] and a bit of [character]"
Because they have yet to figure out that all his characters look the same.
What I want to know is if they're going to use the remake designs in everything else. MB for example.
Akiha doesn't look older. She doesn't look anything. All they did for her redesign was slap a black hairband on her, DONE.
Arc looks like she swapped hairstyles with Alphard(Canaan). A-and is that an ahoge?
She's had twin ahoge/antennae since forever.
The big changes are that they've removed the hair intakes and made her face softer, which results in her looking younger.

New Tsukihime will have a scene where by some weird ass method (Arc fucking up with Marble Phantasm, Ciel fucking up Roa Magic, Kohakusuccessfulmessed up drugs) which will somehow not only clone Tohno Shiki, but the new Tohno Shiki will be a woman.
And then genderbent Tohno will be a new heroine, and Tohno Shiki will forget all about the other heroines and focus exclusively on his genderbent self.

Arc has had an ahoge since, like, forever.
Arc looks like she could pass for a boy, if she does something about her tits and wears the right clothes.

Somehow the redesign makes her less distinct compared to the original.
I guess it was the original Takeuchi crap-art separated her from the later better-art same-faces. With the update, Akiha blends in with the rest of the same-faces.
Anyway, who cares about the miniskirt or hair. Check out the collarbone in that Arc pic. That sweater is fucking skintight. Skintight sweater + Arcboobs = only good things.
