Ah yes I been waiting for so long for this remake. So long I have been waiting and it's been too long but finally I'm glad it's been announced and coming soon. Maybe there's a chance we can climb out of this fate covered timeline and introduce something alongside it and have more TM work come out of the woodwork.

Edit: Watching the trailer, they showed the trees 30 secs in from the original VN and it hit me so hard. Something so mundane have such a powerful effect on me. It just brings me back when I was first reading through Tsukihime

That aside, it makes me very happy to see how passionate people are about this and tsuki in general, and the special place it holds for a lot of us. Tsukihime deserves another shot after all this time.

What do you mean by "fairly rare?" Are there less Second Owners in Japan here, for example?

It wasn't really specified, just some of Nasu's vague statements about the differences between Tsuki and Fate timelines. Magi are less common and Servants nonexistent because Humanity's in decline or some such.

Is it possible that Tsuki Re might have a flowchart? Fate got one when it ported to Vita so it seems in theory, that TM has no problem with retroactively adding this mechanic to one of their games. But Tsuki has always had more branches so I'm also wondering if that might even be doable in the first place, especially if Satsuki's route is there.

I just realized Aniplex is co-publishing it. Might be a really good sign for a potential english localization, since aniplex does like gaijin money and are themselves running a VN brand that targets worldwide audience.

This is pretty much almost a certainty, as much as Sony owning Aniplex, so that the VN would get Playstation push over XBOX, and with the Switch, its them knowing that a handheld VN will do well in Japan. Even putting this on a GO (which is hooked to Aniplex) lineup stream, its all calculated.
Its why I would absolutely certain that a GO console release would be definite Playstation with maybe Switch. And future TM games would get Playstation priority(with Switch secondary because hello? money). Its why Emiya Gohan being Switch only was only a mild surprise.

English version will come, just likely not soon.

I think Sony mainly censors sexual imagery, so i dont think Tsukihime would be affected much. But they can be really heavy with the sexual stuff. In Noratoto theres a CG with a girl in bikini in a seductive pose and the sony version slapped lightbeams on top of the damn bikini. Well, the end result was that kinda "bubble filter" effect that made it look like she was naked so lol...
