The holy scripture outfit is a bit similar to Mash's battle outfit too, plus they both wield a huge lump of steel.
Hoping they bring the curtained bangs at least for real deal not in school Ciel

I finished my backread. For my bit, I don't think Tsukihime will magically get prude. If anything, Nasu has been continually honest about his fetishes, and Takeuchi approved just about every wacky design that came their way, no matter how revealing and unfitting it was. I don't feel the writer who had the main antagonist in one of his games use the entire planet as an improvised sex toy would suddenly throw every sexually-charged moment out of Tsukihime.
The rapist tendencies of Shiki, however, make me scratch my head. I don't think significance of rape for Kohaku will be outright erased, but Shiki...Sigh. I honestly feel that Nasu is more justified in his use of rape as a writing trope in Tsukihime than Fate, but, if Tsukihime is planned for global release, Shiki's impulses will have to be downplayed. And even if it's not, there's enough idiots out there to try and find the themes in Type-Moon works and throw shit on Nasu.
This issue aside, I'm mostly optimistic for Tsukihime. Visual upgrade is one thing, but the rewrite of Ciel's route is what I'm looking forward to. I'd like to believe that at least this one thing Nasu can deliver on even if Mahoyo 2/3 and DDD3 are probably never going to happen.
what do you even call that kind of bang design?
Simply curtained.
Checkmate.
Something
It's not as much people worrying about Nasu becoming prude and more about having to adhere to age rating guidelines which dont exist by default when making an eroge. Honestly it completely depends on what age rating they decide to go with, idk how much sway aniplex has in this. FSN had the Sakura thing toned down for console cause back then they went with a CERO C rating, but non-ero versions of eroge that go with CERO D have gotten away with some pretty crazy stuff. I'm not too worried, CERO D should be able to cover everything tsukihime needs and Type-moon already went with CERO D for CCC. I also vaguely recall Nasu talking about Tsukihime needing a higher age rating by default cause of the story, but i'm not sure if that happened or if im parroting some dumb shit i picked up somewhere.
Both Nintendo and SONY have (at least in my eyes) quite a bad reputation for how they censor the crap out of anime games and Japanese games alike, though SONY has gone too far with it in the recetn years(ha ha "tasteful" sex scene in The last of us 2 goes ham ham). I pray so that SONY's distributing will not involve editing the VN in any way.
Nintendo no longer does that with third party games. Meanwhile, despite Sony saying that they are not directly editing anything, they use the fear of getting the game cancelled to get what they want. That's why not even the Switch version of Mary Skelter Finale has the blood-bathing minigame of the previous iterations (one reason that I probably won't get it; there's also that nonsense about the true true ending requiring preorder DLC, but that's a different topic, entirely).
I'm not seeing why Naughty Dog games are being compared to TM games though. This seems like you're going to ridiculous lengths to doompost about the remake without any counter balance on anything good that you want to see.
Not really. I'm not too sad to see the H-scenes go tbh. As long as the actually important sexual elements remain, then I don't mind not seeing tits in my Tsuki remake.
I'm not too worried that the quality will suffer that much, even if Sony interferes. Even without Sony's prudishness I'm fairly certain the H-scenes would be removed anyway.
I honestly think the game will still be good. I'm feeling very positive about this.
I was just pointing out a hypocritical act by Sony. They censor everything with anime titties in it, and sometimes even censor stuff that doesn't actually show anything. Yet they allowed ND to show an actual sex scene. C'mon.

burn your dread you coward
The double standards of letting a naughty dog character get assfucked with tiddys out while putting light beams on an anime characters bikini is is absolutely ridiculous, but theres a logic behind it. The naughty dog scene is a hollywood sex scene, its considered "artistic", "tasteful" and whatever, while the anime games that get hit with the light beams are intended as sexual fanservice. Tsukihimes story has sexual aspects, but it doesnt have much sexiness besides the ero scenes that are gone by default. If you look at the games getting hit by sony censors, tsukihime doesnt really fit in. And if Sony version has a lightbeam issue, get the switch version.
Well, having censorship in western versions isn't something that started now, as it was commented. The doompost people are making is actually about another thing.
What actually matters here is that we're actually seeing things being censored from the japanese version, which since the last century until 2010s was recognized as the uncensored haven of game versions. And this actually creates a precedent that could actually affect things that go beyond sexual imagery, that is, actual plot details.
However, I don't think Tsukihime will suffer with this because of some reasons:
1 - We're at a very early stage of the censorship initiative, which makes them less likely and less deep.
2 - Tsukihime is a Visual Novel, which is a medium that doesn't grab so much attention. That reduces the probability of a parent or similar complaining and creating the premisse of censorship.
3 - Takeuchi doesn't draw the typical hypersexualized with big tiddies so people who would call for censorship will not only ignore Tsukihime because of (2), but also because the coverart will be acceptable to them.
4 - In the hypothetical future that Tsukihime doesn't have an english official release (which is very likely), problematic parties will not even realize this VN exist.
That is, there is no reason to be that worrisome about anything, at least at this moment.

Or you could be like those people who made that Cyberpunk spinoff. See the moral watchdogs, and let the moral watchdogs see them... And then, explicitly tell them to STFU.
