From what I've gotten through quick googling, you can buy games from outside your region by creating the second account for the region you want to buy from, and there's no limitations on making multiple accounts.
The sticking point is the payment method, your card may be or may be not accepted (depending) and PayPal is moody. The workaround seems to be buying Japanese Switch eShop credit. This way you may overpay a bit though.
What about physical versions? I assume there will be something with physical media.
You can only access the e-shop associated with your account's region, but AFAICT it's fairly trivial to make new accounts for different regions. Just remember that, say, AmADo US can only access the US store and AmADo JP can only access the JP one. Any account can play the game once it's downloaded, though.
Reread Mr. Dawn's Prelude imagining Mr. Dawn's partner is Caren. You won't find any big inconsistencies in terms of personality or abilities.
People already suggested creating other accounts for different accounts, but I don't recommend doing that because changing your main account's country is easier and has no consequences if you use a credit card. But if you use an e-Shop wallet filled with money from gift cards or whatever, the country change will empty your wallet, so spend all you have saved in random stuff before switching your account to Japan.
I'm fairly sure this is it entirely. The team is entirely aware 20 years have passed since they put out the original, they have loyal players younger than the original Tsukihime who probably never played it and plenty probably don't know anything about it. The Far Side parts of the VN are where almost all of the spoiler content is. I mean heck I think the trailer even went out of its way to not show Ciel doing anything but her senpai at school persona, with her single shot in Executor garb being with her back turned and only for a few seconds.

I think trying to hide spoilers is mostly a doomed endeavor. Disregarding oldschool fans who just post whatever on Twitter, Sudo in HF booklets practically says Sakura = that girl named Kohaku from Tsukihime.
Easily misunderstood quote without further reading though lol. Even then, being a rape victim is not entirely the real shocking twist that happens with Kohaku.
There are some that are necessary as the story is in the original, but you shouldn't need to change it that much. And no I don't think it's necessary to change Kohaku's backstory for that.

We're going to find out, because I will personally be super shocked if Nintendo actually allows a legitimate H VN on their console.

In my opinion only the h-scenes in Hisui and Kohaku (and maybe the Kohaku one in Ciel route) routes were truly important to the plot.

Oh it definitely won't be H. But I think they can keep Kohaku's backstory as it is. It can just be a really ugly element that adds to her character depth. It's not like they haven't allowed games with implied sexual elements before on the Switch.
But yea, time will tell.

This, but unironically.
