Tsukihime Roa was pretty weak too, of we don't consider his first life and his 17th(or was it 16th?) reincarnation.

It's just a way to explain what happened to Fate Roa. He never met Arcueid so that whole character arc never even happened anyway. Here he never stopped to be a nerd who wanted to hoard knowledge and observe stuff other than vampire princesses.

Roa's main ability is to be a dumbass so it's not really that strange.
Roa is kinda neatly designed to enable that, because really, any random loser you introduce can revealed to be Roa later on. The dude has 14 character slots still open for you to fill with your OC punchbag.
Nintendo is also extremely shitty, so personally, I'd at least split my business between the two so that I'm not a slave to one. Also, I really want some of those PlayStation IPs, especially Persona.
If there are no differences between the versions I think I'm going Playstation. It's kinda always been my console of choice for the exclusives. And I haven't played anything that was censored specifically because of Sony yet. Though I also have a Switch so I can just as easily grab that version if there's some unnecessary changes. It's a VN so performance ain't gonna be an issue.

You could play it through PS Remote Play, provided your internet connection is good. Though this is only for PS4. Switch doesn't have something like this.

I do think we'll get some very interesting information though on new story details and etc. definitely some more stuff that'll kick people off the tsukire hype train, deserved or not
