More so than from the perspective of sexual gratification I believe that ero scenes should be maintained by creators and supported by fans because they are, to my eyes, courageous.

Weren't the original scenes actually more the opposite of that, especially in Fate/Stay Night? They knew the game wouldn't sell without them, so they gave up and rewrote the story to fit them in. If anything, the porn is more representative of cowardice than courage.

If that's the case, then keeping them would be even more cowardly.

Is there a citation to "nasu never wanted porn in his games", because as far as I can tell this has always been fans mind reading nasu. That being said having porn was the genre convention of the time.

Times change and if Nasu wants to be able to sleep at night now he must maintain the pornography and win back his pride.

At the time he was told to make King Arthur a woman and to add sex so it would sell. He sold out then and he's in the process of selling out now. But I will permit him the opportunity to totally redeem himself.

I am curious though as to how Hisui and Kohaku's abilities would have to change. Maybe the Synchronicity would work more along the lines of being in constant contact or something. Would have suggested something like 'love makes the bond and effect of Synchro grow stronger' but I don't think that would work with Kohaku and Old Man Makihisa. D:

I don't think people who still make VNs today do so to capitalize money, they do because they are either passionate about it or they are capitalizing the hype like everyone does nowadays.
Not even heavy gameplay games are that lucrative when you compare how much they earned because of the hype.
I frankly don't see TsukihimeR, itself, as a lucrative endeavor, aside from maybe the hype it generated.
My hypothesis about it is that Takeuchi, like the profit mastermind he is, is probably already conscious that Tsukihime will only sell because of its hype.
The biggest profit of hype is located at consoles.
He will then use the switch and ps4 to start the hype clock ticking and make the most money of it.
When the clock stops and the money stops, Tsukihime could have a PC release with whatever Nasu wants in it.
I think in general, even with all arguments given here, be mine or other's, we should lower our expectations of Tsukihime to be a Mahoyo level of production in all meanings. We can still expect the gore though.

The thought that the remake actually being a thing means all of the tsukihime characters will also be put into FGO is one I will try to keep denying until it happens, then I will probably have to sate myself with calling fgo shit for another half a year until the pain numbs.

I'd be okay with Tsuki characters being in fgo so long as it's not just for that reason, but honestly this just reads as general pessimism with no real basis in reality.

Or just getting mad about something that hasn't happened with no indication yet that it will.
