Going by from what I remember, it would have felt logical to have Sacchin route be Near Side - or whichever Side Arc and Ciel were on - so that it would have a perfect 3/3 symmetry. Also the conflict of having to protect Sacchin from both Arc and Ciel would bring her and Shiki together.

That's along the likes of what I think. By protecting Satsuki, Shiki tries to cling on to the normal life he's fond of, challenging both Arcueid and Ciel (assuming Satsuki becomes a vampire like in Arc route). Though honestly, I doubt it will play out that way. Without allies, Shiki stands a snowball's chance of stopping either Arc or Ciel.

2020 was a wild year, not gonna lie.
1h before that announcement, I was restoring one of my old Tsukihime posters. 15 years old. And now this.

And I'm kinda surprised : at the end of the trailer (4:35), Tsukihime is not written in Japanese, I think TM has always used 月姫.

...Bringing up Altrouge reminded me of Primate Murder, and thus Fou. Maybe we have a dark horse (or canine) for the welfare 4* of the Tsuki/FGO collab.


But in all seriousness, expanding on the DAA's is long overdue. Let's hope that the imouto makes some sort of appearance or is alluded to.

The question is, what will a Satsuki route even be about? Will it be Far Side or Near Side? Before you even consider her as a heroine, her route has to tell and develop something regarding Shiki and/or the world. Will it explore Shiki's feelings as an 'ordinary' boy, compared to his family ties? I'm really curious as to what kind of narrative there is to lead on with a girl like Satsuki.

You know we have most of the script, right? Not the actual writing, but we have a good idea of what happens in it, thanks to a rough overview given by TM, and some implications in Melty. Of course, chances are that they will overhaul it into something different.

tl;dr it's the true route of sorts. A bit of conjecture, but I'm pretty sure this is how it goes down from the clues:

Shiki kills Arcueid, but she does not catch him, and subsequently loses against Nero and has to run while Shiki is occuppied dealing with Sacchin. Sacchin actually survives the encounter and doesn't die. Arcueid picks up Shiki later, and usual stuff happens, but now she is even more fucked up than before, and he is trying to keep Sacchin's existence secret from her and Ciel, sneaking out to meet her. Some mansion stuff happens that leads Shiki to learn about Roa being his personal business. Maybe Ciel visits the mansion, or Akiha actually helps deal with him.

In the end Shiki has to face Roa in the school, but Sacchin has to face Nero, wherin she unlocks Depletion Garden.

In the Good Ending, Sacchin gets away, and Ciel wipes Shiki's memory of these events, convincing him that Arcueid was the vampire he got involved with, and things essentially lead to KT and Melty. In the True ending, who knows?

So as we can see, the new depiction of dots by Ufo is a p big visual contrast to the cross section of lines Ufo had previously, and are clearly not the spiral of black lines Araya had in the narration of KNK book 1.
