I've heard specula that Noel is actually a significant character in Nasuverse - but I'm rather hoping that she's a normal person so that Arihiko isn't the only freaking normal person. Start pushing against the 'here's a totally normal person - but actually!' thing that TM tends to have.

There were like - two normal people in Mahoyo right? Can we reach... three?

All this is telling me is that I'll need to either play the original Tsukihime VN, read the manga, or both...I just wanted an updated rerelease with some minor tweaks...

Let's just wait and see. But personally, having someone new to host that iconic segment might feel lackluster. Taiga has the advantage for already existing in the original, and with Illya along the ride.

Maybe have Satsuki tag along there as teacher-student duo section.

I mean... unless you can read moonrunes you won't be understanding the remake anyway. So there's still a good while to go until we can actually experience it.
Then again, I'd recommend you read them now even if you do understand Japanese. Tsukihime might show its age but it's still a damn good read.

So going through Kagetsu Tohya is reminding me of a lot of things from my Tsuki playthroughs...
I guess I wish Ciel's and Arcueid's relationship could be a little less... hostile? I got the feeling they sort of reluctantly respect each other but I don't really recall a positive interaction between them...

Man who'd have thought that someone who is a reincarnation of Arc's most hated enemy and also a victim of her greatest mistake that was murdered by her wouldn't get along with Arcueid?

Honestly, it's more complicated. Ciel is Roa. So on some level, just as he does, she loves Arcueid. However, she hates that she is Roa and everything involved in that.

Arc understands this, and continues to hate Roa for his betrayal. Ciel is another Roa, but one without quite the same baggage as normal and who could be an erstwhile ally.

But ultimately, they want the same thing. They want Roa gone. I think that could warrant at least some level of understanding between them as the story progresses.

Yeah but actually no. Ciel wants to kill Roa with Seven so that he'll be gone and she can die. Arc wants to kill him herself so she can get her power back.

So yeah, not actually as much room to negotiate as you'd think.

Also this, Shiki's swag is too high level, his Harem members can't get along because of it. (Shiki'd be super jealous of how blissful Shirou's domestic life is, his Harem members all pretty much like one another).
