I'll unironically miss the ero scenes. I found Kohaku's not that bad and I liked the CG post sex which oozed a genuine feeling of intimacy. Even if they were badly written, what a hypothetical renewed version of those CGs with Takeuchi's current style would've been amusing to see.
I'll miss the 3rd sex scene in Arc's route.
I felt that scene was the perfect culmination of the feefees that she and Shiki developed throughout the route. Removing the sex will not only change some plot points, but also make the romance not as emotionally impactful IMO.
1 is even worse though. In a VN where people talk about, think about, and work around sex all the fucking time, "we had sex but you don't get to see it" is the coppiest of cop outs. Rather have CG dragons or bloodsucking or whatever.

Eroge is probably THE single most boomer medium out there, with most japanese users being in their 30s minimum, mostly 40s or even 50s, with almost no new consumers entering the pool. Eroge used to be a somewhat mainstream otaku thing 20 years ago with lots of impact on the overall otaku culture, but to current year youngsters the existence of eroge is more of a bizarre gag. Recently ive felt this gap especially hard thanks to Vtubers with their mostly young audience: there are some Vtubers that like eroge but their viewers mostly treat it as a funny character gag trait. “haha shes being lewd again”, “lol if there was an eroge about you I would play it *le lenny face*”. TM is obviously trying to introduce Tsukihime to the new audience they’ve picked up along the way, so making it eroge would be counterproductive. In the first place, they only put the ero in there because that was the trend back in the day. But trends change, and the current trend is console, at least if you are trying to write scenario heavy stuff. PC has lost popularity as a gaming platform in japan, and in the first place even back during Type-Moons birth PC was mainly a working adult’s tool that also allowed games, which plays into how eroge even became a thing. Youngsters have always preferred alternative platforms, and especially so in modern times.
This eroscenes or not debate is always filled with the fallacy of there only being two options: Pornography and Mickey Mouse. Just because there isn’t pornographic content doesn’t mean they will have to remove everything that wouldn’t fly in a Disney cartoon. And there ARE all-ages versions (or rather, non-R18 would be a better term) that keep eroscenes but edit them just enough to make it to a platform that doesn’t allow porn, such as the console/steam MLA and the kikokugai remake. The eroscene CGs are redrawn in a way that no private parts appear on the screen, and I think the scripts might have been slightly edited for less moaning and kimochii’ing and ikuuuuuuuu’ing, but the text does tell you that sexual intercourse is indeed happening. But I doubt type moon is interested in this kind of approach, as I said the eroscenes only existed because it was the hot thing to do back in 2000.

The porn isn't really correlated to the quality of the material. Unless we are evaluating the quality of the porn itself.
Things didn't get better cuz porn is no longer here, nor did they get worse because of it.
I do think Nasu's best work comes from the time he included porn in the narrative, but that didn't happen despite or because of it. It was just a damn good story. What I remember about Tsukihime, or FSN, or KnK has nothing to do with the pornographic elements in them. This is not to say the porn didn't have its narrative purpose (most of the time), but I don't think it's much reason to be sad that it's gone. The story can still include sexual elements without straight-up being pornographic.
I'm more worried if they want to completely strip the story of its sexual elements altogether, that I'm not okay with. Because it would probably be worse for it. But seeing the porn itself go doesn't bother me.

They should add even more extreme stuff, like add some gruesome realistic description of all the implied child-raping and cannibalism, so that the 99.9% of potential readers is so utterly and completely disgusted that all the TM stuff is back to be a product for 100k-200k people max. That would be really "courageous"!
