Well, yeah. The question is, why do the switch after so many years of people being used to their voices? People still play MB. I guess they really are remaking everything. First designs and then the voices. It's gonna be interesting.

There might be some financial reasons behind it too, knowing it is full voiced who knows how big the VN gonna be, and having high profile VA voice them is some big $$$. Either that or they want to target Tsuki Re for newer generation.
I guess we'll know the truth when they reveal the VA for minor casts like Aoko, Nrvnqsr, etc.
Or maybe Nasu felt off if only Hisui got a new VA. If the recording is assumed to start on 2017 this'd make sense too.

I doubt too expensive is the reason for current type-moon. Maybe 16 years ago but not now.
Yumi Kakazu already voiced Hisui before in the 'anime', so she's not exactly new to the franchise.
Hisui's new VA is Kana Ichinose.

Speaking of VAs, wonder what the teacher's VA will be.
I'd wager its a combination of appealing to a new generation of fans with a new generations VAs and future proofing the voices if they're planning to unfreeze tsukiverse and have the characters make repeated appearances throughout the years.
I think that, other than Ciel, it'll be really easy for me to get used to these voices. I actually think Akiha's new voice is freaking spot-on.
I like Hondo Kaede but her take on Ciel makes her sound a bit too young. But she's definitely a talented VA so I think it's a matter of time until she becomes the voice in my head for Ciel.

i keep rewatching the PV so many times i've probably heard these voices more than the old voices by the time the game comes out.
