    Uh... what?

uh, anyways, most of the negative attention I see of FGO (aside from general complaints about predatory gacha systems in general... but also some of that too) actually comes from people who like, actively play it, that's pretty far-flung from 'outrage addicted cancel warriors' whatever those are supposed to be. But in any case, a localization of Tsukihime (2021) would only garner an infinitesimal fraction of the attention that FGO does, so its hate circle wouldn't be very large, regardless of how much objectionable content remains in the remake, which I do not believe can be very much. The most 'problematic', as it were, elements of the original are things I highly doubt were ever going to make it into the remake anyways. I am not a fan of Nanaya Rape Mode but I don't think Nasu is either, and even if he is I guarantee you whatever Nintendo staff curate what's allowed to be sold on Switch aren't. It just doesn't make very much sense to believe Tsukihime would get 'canceled' or whatever, aside from the small hate circles that pretty much everything has.

Wouldn't a new Tsukihime anime based off of the remake probably be more praised for its edge or maturity or whatever?

I mean Shiki on a surface glance hits many of those kind of buttons for such I imagine (ignoring the deeper side to him).

Even if Tsukihime "gets cancelled" the only people that won't check it out because of that are people that wouldn't check it out in the first place. Tsukihime already has the checkboxes stacked against it, being a VN with routes where the player character ends up with a different romantic partner. I expect some toxic discourse but I don't think many people will be swayed either way. You can also just ignore it, and don't have to get angry at these people.

Cheers to a happy Tsukihime Remake experience.

Well new or not fgo peeps will still whale for them anyways lol. I personally don't want it too happened, but ever since Nasu wanted a Tsukihime collab, it's bound to happen eventually.
I'd say there were a few Nasus over the years. There is no going back, but we have yet to see them all.

Tsukihime being in FGO is probably more effective advertisement than anything else they could possibly come up with.

Ever since KnK got one I knew Tsuki would get one eventually. And now it's clear why it took so long.

Anyone here hoping that they just simply get rid of the difference between the Tsukimhime and Fate universes. I don't understand why there needs to be a difference where one has super powerful vampires and the other has servants.

Tsukimhime is mostly unknowen outside of it's dedacated fanbase, so making a retcon wouldn't be a big deal. On the otherhand having both stories occur in the same universe is better because it creates more immersion. While I don't expect any servants in Tsukimhime, it would be amazing to see epic battles between them in later works. Also the idea of servants and their corresponding legends is a source of attachment to many people, if you make a new character and say he's some mythological hero then people already have an attachment to it. Tsukimhime has to make all new characters and make the reader feel an attachment.

I like what ever is going on in Nasu's head, but from a world building perspective, making these separate universes would be detrimental.

If I had to take a guess, it is so that he has more freedom with each property on its own. Having Tsuki seperate from Fate theoretically allows Nasu to introduce contradictory information/mechanics without having to worry too much about it. The division probably only exists in the first place cuz Nasu introduced some piece of lore somewhere that contradicted something in either Fate or Tsuki, so he just seperated them.
The tone excuse doesn't really seem right with me either. KnK is a Fate world and it is tonally even farther away from Fate than Tsukihime is.

But now he's gotten himself into a bit of trouble cuz this will definitely collab with FGO and now he has to invent a BS excuse why Tsuki characters are running around in a Fate world, this alongside all of the other BS excuses the franchise has had come up with to infest everything with Servants.

I'll be honest I don't need the remake itself to retcon the universe. Most of the time I'll just pretend everything is happening in the same reality, the mechanics are similar enough for that.
That being said it would be swell that the multiverse chart was changed to include the 4 core TM works (Tsuki, KnK, FSN and Mahoyo) in one timeline and dump all of the other products into a different AU each, including all of their loredumps. But that ain't happening.

    That would require rewriting:
    -The Dantes drama CD
-All of Sion's screentime in FGO
    -Half of Case Files

And probably quite a few more things I'm not remembering. Either way, I don't see why Nasu would be any interested in undoing a plot point that helps so much in keeping the universe more organized and enabling each story to be its own thing, while also producing interesting alternate scenarios in the process. The benefits outweigh the detriments so much that it's easy to forget there were any detriments.

I guess ease of crossover is probably Uber's reasoning here.
We'll never get a Fate/Avengers though so stuff like that will stay in the realm of fanfiction.

And since Strange Fake proves there can be timelines where both DAA's and Heroic Spirits exist, who's to say there isn't some timeline out there where a version of the events of Tsukihime and Fate/stay night played out in the same universe?
Fate/Zero got seperated from FSN cuz Gen didn't have every single mention of 4th HGW events in FSN play out exactly the same exact way in the novel, so FSN was left with a 4th HGW that was really similar to FZ's HGW but nooooot quite, so if that's reason to spawn an AU you can really go nuts. Nothing's stopping you.

I mean Zero also told you it was an alternate timeline from the beginning, so I don't fault it for that. It can get confusing but it's not like you're blindly reading works when Nasu's taken more effort to actually highlight the differences than quite a few creators.

Pretty sure FGO could be a sort of mixed world leaning heavily towards Fate, but I dunno.

The fact fans know FGO is shallow, how can anyone take any of those 3 seriously? FGO own universe is just a wall and them throwing shit on there. It's just a evil wish made if the holy grail was real.

That may be possible with Dantes and Fate!Sion, but Case Files is its own thing, separate from FGO.

    "Games without depth end quickly"

Bruh, you ever heard of Mario? Pokemon? Games don't have to have depth to be successful.

TBH I don't see KNK as a fate thing.

It's just a thing that doesn't necessarily become impossible in Fate stuff. Pretty big difference if you ask me.
