How Lancelot is here I don't know; as far as I', concerned I just love the "What if Lancelot is one of Hayate's guardian?" oh by the way this one is back in March this year.
Just like a parent and child
In the park near Hayate's house, the mistress of the night sky, her knight Shamal and Sir Lancelot are currently visiting the area for sightseeing; escpecially since that the mistress will be undergoing her first therapy for her legs tomorrow and she would like to visit the park.
An hour later, all three of them can be seen resting as Shamal is sitting down on the park bench; her mistress in front of her in her wheelchair and Sir Lancelot insisting in standing. The latter is out of his armor after his master insists that he takes off his armor for such occasion to avoid attracting attention. in civilian clothing, he looks older than he should be with his hair slightly messed up and has bag under his eyes as if he hasn't slept for a long time.
Hayate on the other hand, is observing something.
What caught her eye is the sight of a father carrying his son on his shoulders as he makes his way towards the ice-cream vendor.
"Go faster dad!" His child enjoys himself as he can feel himself being taller than his father as he clutches on his father's head for support.
Such a sight is very heart-warming but very for Hayate, it makes her feel envious that she was not able to do something like that with her own father, yet alone meet him.
"Hayate-chan, is something the matter?" Shamal asked. it only takes her a brief moment that her mistress was staring the father and son that passed her, her mistress and lancelot just now.
Such feeling reinforce itself when she spotted her mistress bit her lip and look as if she's going to cry.
Lancelot on the other hand, saw the pair and look at his current master with a worried look in his eyes when he noticed that she looks like going to cry. With a smile on his face, he stands up from the bench he was sitting and carefully carries his master on his shoulders.
"Ah!" Hayate squeaked out as her black knight picks her up from her wheelchair. She even places a firm grip on his head for supprt as she fears that she'll fall down.
"I'm going to buy this 'ice-cream cones' lady Vita has been telling me about lately, Lady Shamal if you please" Lancelot asked Shamal nicely.
Shamal immediately gets it and smiles. "here you go," She hands him a small change of cash enough for two people. "You two enjoy yourself, I don't want any."
"Hey, Shamal you don't want?" Hayate blinked at her.
"No thank you, the both of you go enjoy yourself."
"As you wish, my lady. Come Lady Hayate we shall go and have this treat for ourselves." Lancelot takes the money from Shamal and proceed to walk slowly.
"Woah!" Hayate neraly lost her balance when Lancelot starts to turn around and walking towards the ice-cream vendor.
unlike everyone else here, Lancelot is the tallest person in the entire park; which explains why she keeps an even more firm grip on his head as it's really high up on his shoulders for a 9 year old like Hayate.
Even so, it's really fun being up here.
Just like the father and son she saw earlier.
