My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Well the power and change from that came from the experimentation of being made into a Grail, so you'd have to have someone as crazy as ol' Grandpa to do that on a human. Meaning you'd need someone to go through the same or similar process to get the same result.
And Elf, I don't think i gave a review last time I saw this, and with a fresh mind in the morning I'll say this:
Your Archer/Rin is as nicely done as always. Though Sakura's pains were not that Rin "took her place" (that is more like Shinji), but that she wasn't treated like a human being and lost her identity in both aspects, human and magi. I doubt she much cares about the specifics of magical heritage or some such.
I also see you really found potential in the "Forest of no Return" ending, since I saw that you liked that other fic, "The World Without" that was adapted from it.
"Fate/stay night: not really an eroge, and not really a cooking sim, but actually an RPG wherein everyone’s primary stat is “self-loathing” and the goal is to level it up beyond all the other characters."
True, but that would make her weaker (in the context of AM corruption), not stronger. The reason Dark Sakura was so strong is because AM is highly compatible with her natural magic.
Well, honestly, the whole thing with Sakura was rather contrived. I mean, if she thinks Rin killed Shirou, then why the hell would she ring Rin up and say "hey, Sempai's hurt, please come and help him"? If she was genuinely guilty (as Sakura assumes), then she'd know full well that it was a trap.
Well, it's an ending which can be made into quite an interesting fic, although I'm not sure this one really worked that well (aside from the porn, anyway...).I also see you really found potential in the "Forest of no Return" ending, since I saw that you liked that other fic, "The World Without" that was adapted from it.
It forces the issue, though. Assuming Rin's guilty, she can not come (confirmed guilty, Sakura can do something about it), or she can come because she believes it will delay the assumption of her guilt, in which case Sakura sets off the trap and hopes Rin isn't sufficiently prepared for what she must know is coming.

Nice to see you're reposting this; it was one of my favorites in the TATARI contests.
Are you going to flesh out the final battle? I was a little disappointed you skipped over it in the original.
>Archer Alter.
... Well dammit now I'm intrigued. Elf always writes the best Archer fics.
LOL, well, it's something I've been disappointed in, but the sex was really good in the story. A bit more kinky and aggressive than what I normally write.
I need to get the rest of it up.

Forest is a vampire who's a bit too good for her own good and doesn't know when to leave things alone. Armed with a ridiculously large hand gun, martial arts skills, a bitching pony car, and a love for pop culture she fights the forces of evil. Urban Fantasy 80's Style.

Well, at least Sakura happy now?

Hell yes. Even when tainted with All the World's Evil, Archer takes great pleasure in thumbing his nose at convention. Plus, seeing Archer follow Shinji around as they spy on Rin would lead to delicious turns of character development for both. Shinji may be disgusting, but he snivels so wonderfully when he realizes he's outclassed (and shows great potential to develop his natural talents to a useful means)."None of you are my Master. Not Sakura, not Shinji, and certainly not a decrepit, rotting old corpse made of worms. My Master is Tohsaka Rin, and since you've tainted me and I'm an Archer class, what do you think that means?" A slow smirk graced his features.
I approve, in spite of the aforementioned flaws.
