The slightly longer version of that story is that psych patients often do not practice the most desirable ADLs and as a result having significant amounts of blood and other bodily secretions on their nails is quite high.
to say none of the ones who will straight up weaponize such diseases by scratching open sores or biting open their cheeks to spit blood.
anytime the claws come out you always wanna go into medical records to see what’s possible. If they have refused labs, which they can totally do, it can be nerve wracking.

Yeah, I think I remember that story. And honestly, anonymity and all, it's better to respect patient confidentiality and tell less funny stories than risk whatever the equivalent of getting disbarred is, don't worry about it.

From an ethics standpoint, one should probably still ask for the patients' permission first.

Easter was yesterday for Orthodox christians, yes. We use the Julian calendar to calculate it (Catholics use the Gregorian one).
