I wouldn't put it past people. Some are surprisingly petty. If you can do it becasue someone beat you in a Call of Duty match, then you can do it for any reason.

I never understood the appeal of watching others play videogames.

I mean sports, sure, you need a team, or a special field, or equipment, and usually all of the above. But in the same time as watching someone else play I could be playing myself and that's usually more fun.

I mean, it's less of a stream and more of a show. It's Xbox gamesreel day!

Maybe I'm cynical, but "Unwoke" seems to me to be a more marketing friendly way to say "sheep that will take all the abuse you can dish for a lousy paycheck".

Woke essentially means "militant far leftie" as I understand it, instead of the left wingers who are reasonable but don't start pressing for affirmative action or cancelling shit.

Myself, I've first seen it used in regards to the murder of Eric Garner by the NYPD, but lately, it's been rare to see it used unironically (though I'm told it's still reasonably common in the African-American communities, which makes sense, seeing as how they created the term).

No clue if you belong in said group, since you're keen on acting like everything they do is right and not inherently flawed.

Or a desperate need for attention.

Simply put, when your actions have real world consequences, and you engage in said actions regularly to enforce your views, that makes you "woke" in this sense.

Like, I try to be a decent person, but I am not woke because I don't go give DJT the finger on Twitter whenever he says something I disapprove because all it's going to do is piss off his base, look like a publicity stunt and not much at all.

My incredulity is more that you seem to equate kids on Twitter, Tumblr and assorted sites with an actually-militant Left. Then again, considering how often you've proudly displayed your lack of awareness of anything outside your limited worldview, that really shouldn't have been surprising.

I kinda view "woke" people as individuals that think any initiative should be made specifically to minority type issues, and they will reject any attempt to better a society if you don´t do that. A good example, I think, its the people that complained about Bernie plans, even though stuff like medicare for all would greatly benefit blacks communities. They ignore the relation between politics-economics and racism, in this way they use the latter to explain all the injustices that minorities suffer.

Basically, people that reject class based initiatives that deal with working-class people concerns.
